still doing those songs
SnoopyStyle31 December 2016
Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci are Garfunkel and Oates. I think Riki is Garfunkel and Kate is Oates. Like their opening act Anthony says, the girls are still doing those songs. They're trying to get the money to make a TV special if the onstage thermometer reaches 100%. Don't ask. They go on stage to do many of their songs including some favorites. If you like songs about dicks, this is the special for you. There are a couple of funny stories and one music miscue. The girls are endearing and fun. They're a cute-awkward-single-gal comedy duo. If you like their show or their music, this is great. If you never heard of them, give it a try. If you don't like them, then what are you doing here?

Talented, funny and entertaining

Though I am of the firm belief that women are not inherently funny, some, on the other hand, just are exceedingly hilarious, and then some. I've followed Rikki and Kate on YouTube for some time and know all their songs, and hearing them again wasn't really as boring as you'd expect, when you already know them by heart. It's like going to see your favorite band live. You know every song and you still enjoy it. Above all, I enjoyed how talented both of them are. Both are good actresses and have a lot of comedic talent. It takes a lot to both make music and jokes and not mess it all up live when you can't redo a take, like on video. They're far from my favorite comedians, but this special is well worth the watch. With all said, I hope for new material soon.

Love these girls
Very unique act of 2 fun young girls doing the slightly crass but always clever thing that I really couldn't draw a comparison to. I use the word crass but they're brilliant with it, not like Amy Schumer just being as dirty as possible, they tend to mislead a little with sweet sounding tunes and their lovely singing voices. They're just a bag of fun, don't know if they genuinely messed up in the middle or not but it was funny seeing Kate running around with a laptop, and just added to the character of the performance. PLUS Anthony Jeselnik introduces the show hilariously. Had a smile on my face the whole time, but go for it, give it a try.

Anthony you genius

OK I admit I am not a fan of Garfunkel and Oates. To me, their songs sound like they take only slightly longer to write than they do to perform. But I truly did enjoy the introduction that Anthony Jeselnik, their friend, gave the show: "Are you guys big fans of Garfunkel and Oates or just the same song 100 times?" Absolutely nailed it.

say that again???

Their act seems to centre around singing lyrics so fast that unless you've heard the song before (multiple times?) you sit there in the audience thinking "I have no idea what they're saying".
