I found this episode weaker, but still liked seeing a different side of Frank.

Our character cast also all deal with their own problems. It's probably about the bleakest it's gotten yet.

After getting fired, he's subjected to several works of depression and the family is shown to be having financial troubles. This is the first time the show introduced a conflict like this so I enjoyed that part. Unfortunately the ending is a bit too convient, but we'll see what really happens following this.

Not the best season opener, but with the extended amount of episodes it will give the writing staff hopefully more time to explore deeper said themes they're shooting for.

Job Loss and Virginity

Warning: Spoilers
The beginning showed a house with a beautiful landscape. This is a scene that shows the parents' earlier life. The younger son is traumatized after witnessing his older brother masturbating with lotion to a girl in a pink bikini. I would be disturbed and this is why I like to have my own bedroom haha. The older son talks with his two buddies about their lack of a sexual life - the older brother wonders when he will get laid and lose his virginity. The parents are concerned throughout the episode about the job loss. The dad has depression and they are hopeful to get a call to come back to his old workplace. Only at the end does the mom hear on the answering machine the call they were waiting for. Dad's old boss called asking to see him.
