I have been watching from the beginning, and this episode is one of my favorites. The story arc of the characters, while a bit of a slow burn at some points, really solidifies in this episode. No, I promise I'm not the mother of the writer or creator of the show! As always the acting is first rate. The characters are so well developed that I almost tend to forget that they are not real people. The writing is always strong, but this episode really knocked it out of the park. Just when I thought I could predict what was coming, they manage to turn the tables and keep you guessing. The very best shows in TV history all share this trait, and Halt (and particular this episode) meets this tradition of top-shelf programming.
While I have zero to do with the TV industry, I do keep tabs on ratings because I so want this show to succeed, and I am constantly shocked that the viewership is not higher. I can imagine that those who watch are probably a small but REALLY key demographic to the advertisers, so hopefully that will be a consideration for the long-term life of this show. AMC has an incredible show on their hands, and it would not surprise me at all if it becomes the big "binge-worthy" hit it deserves to be if people give it a chance. With a GREAT deal of luck and faith from AMC, perhaps it will make it four more seasons giving us a nice seven season story arc (and four years would conveniently help us all with coping with whoever is going to be elected as the next President).
