I thought this was funny and I am not a great fan of any of the two in here Warning: Spoilers
"H&M's I, Beckham" is a 7-minute mockumentary from 2015, in which we have actor Kevin Hart pretend that he wants to play (former ) football player David Beckham in a biopic. As if the difference in color (that is never talked about though) isn't already funny enough to make this an awkwardly absurd little film, there are also many other moments that were pretty hilarious as we see Hart invade Beckham's personal life in order to find out about his quirks and mannerisms because this film is supposed to become the greatest thing ever. I think Hart did a good job and Beckham was surprisingly convincing as well given the fact that he is everything (athlete, model, celebrity), but not a trained actor. I certainly enjoyed this brief little movie. Director is Frederic Bond who most people may know from Shia Laboeuf's "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman". This one we have here is also Bond's most recent work. Actually, it is a little commercial promoting fashion enterprise H&M and this is maybe the only slight weakness as the reference to fashion is almost non-existent to be honest. Then again I have seen several other pretty long commercials for all kinds of products that weren't half as funny or entertaining. And like I wrote in the title, you don't even need to be a fan of either of the two in here. It is enough if you like mockumentaries and the Ricky Gervais approach to comedy. I recommend seeing this one. A positive surprise.
