We’ve got another zombie movie coming out called Dead Trigger, but what makes this one different from all the others is the fact that it stars Dolph Lundgren!
It’s been great seeing Lundgren appear in some recent mainstream movies, but it’s still always fun to see stars in these smaller, lower budget projects. In this one we get to see him blow away zombies. Here’s the synopsis for Dead Trigger:
A mysterious virus has killed billions and turned many others into bloodthirsty zombies. Unable to stop the virus, the government develops a video game, "Dead Trigger," that mirrors the terrifying events that curse the world.
Dead Trigger was co-directed by Mike Cuff and Scott Windhauser (Cops and Robbers). While this doesn’t look like it’s going to be a good movie, it still will probably be fun to watch.
The movie will be released on May 3rd.

"They're everywhere!" Saban Films has released a new trailer for a terrible-looking zombie action film titled Dead Trigger, based on the mobile game of the same name first published in 2012. The film premiered in 2017 but is only now getting a release, and it's obvious once you see this footage why no one has touched it - despite Lundgren. When an unstoppable zombie apocalypse takes over the world, the government develops a video game, called "Dead Trigger," that mirrors the terrifying events plaguing the planet. The best efforts of the gamers are monitored, and they recruit the highest rated zombie killers. The young recruits are called “Dead Triggers”. This follows a group of recruits who travel to the origin of the outbreak to find a missing team of scientists searching for a cure. This stars Dolph Lundgren, Autumn Reeser, Romeo Miller, Isaiah Washington, Chris Galya, and Justin Chon. Looks even worse than so-bad-it's-good.

Add director Mike Cuff to the list of people who say they're still owed money by the producers of Dead Trigger after the low-budget zombie film starring Dolph Lundgren fled Mexico last May. Cuff was fired two days into the movie’s shoot in the seaside resort town of Playa del Carmen. It had been Cuff's idea for the film: he was the original director; had secured the rights to the video game it was based on, and had written a script. Two weeks later, the American cast and…...
