Cal Kestis : [talking with Merrin] A very good friend of mine told me to go out and find my place in the galaxy.
Nightsister Merrin : And you listened.
Cal Kestis : Well, no, but... Life has this funny way of forcing you on the path forward anyway. Now here I am. Where I least expected.
Nightsister Merrin : A path forward.
[she pauses, then walks up to him]
Nightsister Merrin : I will join you.
Cal Kestis : You will?
Nightsister Merrin : I've spent years... Of waiting for the chance to avenge my sisters. I'm finished waiting. I wish to fight by your side. Nightsisters and Jedi do not travel together, but... Survivors. We adapt.
Cal Kestis : Yeah. Yeah, I guess we do. What do you think, BD?
[BD-1 beeps affirmatively]
Cal Kestis : I agree.
[holds out his hand and Merrin takes it]
Cal Kestis : My crew, they might take a little bit of convincing, though.
Nightsister Merrin : Then we'll convince them.

[after Merrin rescues Cal and Cere from the fortress; Cal walks into the room. Merrin, upon seeing him, walks up and hugs him]
Nightsister Merrin : [releases him] Sorry.
Cal Kestis : That was you in the water, wasn't it?
Nightsister Merrin : [nods] I'm glad you're okay.
[motions to Greez]
Nightsister Merrin : This one wouldn't leave your side.
Cal Kestis : [to Merrin] Thank you.

Cal Kestis : [confronting Trilla] Guess you made a mistake not killing me on Bracca then.
Trilla Suduri : A scant mercy. I wagered one meaningless Padawan against a prize that will win me the Emperor's favor.
Cal Kestis : You think I'm gonna let you walk away with the holocron?
Trilla Suduri : Of course not. We both have our pride. But yours has cost you the lives of all the Force-sensitive children on that list. As well as your own.
Cal Kestis : Like you said, Trilla. I'm persistent.

Cal Kestis : [as Vader enters the scene] That doesn't look good.
Cere Junda : It isn't. It's him.
[Vader jumps down and approaches Trilla]
Darth Vader : You have failed me, Inquisitor.
Trilla Suduri : Avenge us!
[Vader strikes her down]
Cere Junda : Cal, run!
[lunges at Vader, but he swipes her aside with a simple gesture]
Cal Kestis : No! Cere...
Darth Vader : You would be wise to surrender.
Cal Kestis : Yeah. Probably.

Darth Vader : [holding Cal's lightsaber in a Force-grip] Surrender the holocron.
Cal Kestis : I'll never give it to you.
Darth Vader : We shall see.
[activates Cal's lightsaber and uses it to stab him. As he moves in to finish him, Cere attacks him from behind and locks lightsabers with him]
Cere Junda : I won't let you take those children.

Nightsister Merrin : [about the list of children] The next generation of Jedi...
Greez Dritus : The Empire will be after 'em. Just like they're after us.
Cere Junda : The lives of every child on that list will be forever changed.
Cal Kestis : Not by us. Their destiny should be trusted to the Force.
[uses his lightsaber to destroy the holocron]
Cal Kestis : So where to now?

The Ninth Sister Inquisitor : You know, I was a Jedi. It'd be fun to bring you in, watch you crack like the rest of us! What angers you? Just wait until the isolation, torture, mutiliation, and your friends...
Cal Kestis : I won't let you hurt them!
The Ninth Sister Inquisitor : You can't stop the Empire!
Cal Kestis : I can stop you!

Cal Kestis : [introducing Merrin to the crew] Cere, Greez, this is Merrin.
Greez Dritus : Wha- she's a witch, isn't she?
Nightsister Merrin : Nightsister. Your fear is unnecessary.
Cal Kestis : I couldn't have found the Astrium without her. We fought Malicos together. I trust her.
Cere Junda : And we trust you.
[turns to Merrin]
Cere Junda : You... Will have to earn it.
Greez Dritus : Okay, fine... Grab some seat. Long as she doesn't try anything funny.
[walks off]
Cere Junda : [also walks off] Welcome aboard.
Cal Kestis : [to Merrin] They like you.

Saw Gerrera : [after the battle] Everyone! These have been hard years. We've lost comrades, friends, family... to the Empire. Dark times. And yet the fire... still burns. Hope... still burns. The Jedi are not yet lost. We are not yet lost. Kashyyyk is not yet lost! For the cause!
[the soldiers and Wookiees cheer. He walks over to Cal]
Saw Gerrera : You've seen what the Empire has done to Kashyyyk. These stories are playing out all over the galaxy. My Partisans could use a Jedi on our side.
Cal Kestis : I'm honored, but... We have our own mission I can't walk away from. Not yet.
Saw Gerrera : The offer stands. Keep it in mind.
