When Dumont reboots the server, you can see two BIOS screens. Aside from the dated design, the first screen shows various configuration details which don't correspond with modern server systems (enabling floppy disk support, hard drive configuration with primary/secondary master/slave). The second screen shows the password configuration page of the BIOS. The password, entered by Dumont, would not "start the network" but add a password protection to the BIOS (meaning you need to enter that password to access the BIOS).
