The inspiration behind movie for director Hayden J. Weal was idea of taking time to get to know people around you. He told the 'Stuff' website: "I feel like we don't interact or feel things for people we see every day as much as we used to. Like, when I was a kid [in Te Awamutu], I'd talk to people on the school bus, you know, you would kind of get to know everyone around you. But now, people don't talk to each other on public transport, or they barely know the people they work with and see every day, people like security guards and receptionists and things.''
The meaning of ''chronesthesia'' is mental time travel - the ability to think into the past and future.
