Episode 1 ended with Georgie being kidnapped. Episode 2 really rests on Michelle Keegan showing her acting chops as she is held hostage and seen as a bartering tool and one of the captors is a white Muslim convert from Britain, maybe echoing Jihadi John of recent events in Syria.
Georgie is held hostage with another woman Kicki and both fear for their lives but Georgie makes subtle plans to escape and not reveal that she is a soldier rather than a medic such as hiding her dog tags.
Rescue comes by way of Elvis (Luke Pasqualino) the man who jilted Georgie at the altar. Georgie thanks him for his efforts by slapping him but I guess there will be more intimate contact between the two as the series progresses.
