Directors Bob van der Houven and Joop van den Beucken had the same idea for making this documentary before they even met. When they told each other they decided to team up and make the project happen together.
Made in cooperation with internet series Stemmen van Toen (2014). Both productions feature the same team and share some of the footage that was shot.
The story line of Fé van Kessel and Niki Romijn meeting mirrors that of directors Joop van den Beucken and Bob van der Houven. Joop was an aspiring voice actor and a fan of Ducktales when he contacted Bob (who voiced Huey, Dewey and Louie) in 2007. The two have been great friends ever since.
Roel Bogers animated every frame of Mike's animation by himself. He sacrificed the whole summer of 2016 to do so.
The observant viewer will notice that Arnold Gelderman wears two outfits during his interview. This is because some footage from the very first Stemmen van Toen interview was used. The two interviews were conducted more than a year apart.
