Yes, the credit roll and titles are about as simplistic as can be, and less than half his output is addressed - but as an introduction to De Sica and some of his more famous films this works quite well. It's hosted by the man himself from an empty theater stage, where he talks to a guest or two and speaks about a number of his films; which is then intercut with footage of said film, interviews on the release of the film, events involving awards, and even a couple of behind the scenes pieces of footage in which he's shown directing actors. Considering that there must be a handful of different formats represented here, all in Black & White. I'm not saying there mightn't be other creative ways to present this footage, but it's presented well enough to get a feel for his personality and be introduced to his work.
