Claire has no scar on her right arm from a recent injury that required 8 to 10 stitches.
The Cape Fear River, like most rivers, flows from the interior of the country towards the coast. Some shots of the boat show it floating WITH the current as they are supposedly heading inland; they should be going AGAINST the current. Navigating a large, fully-loaded boat upstream before motors would require a larger crew of hands and multiple poles in order to overcome the force of the current.
Views like those seen by Claire and Jamie of the Blue Ridge Mountains could only be seen from a location more than 300 miles inland from Wilmington, North Carolina - far more than a quick evening wagon trip. (The coast of North Carolina is very flat and not rocky.) Additionally, the Cape Fear River begins nearly 200 miles east (towards the coast) from the base of the same mountains; not at the foot of them, as claimed.
