Routine WW2 combat from IFD
Leofwine_draca10 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
HIGH SKY MISSION was released by IFD as the third in the 'AMERICAN FORCE' franchise. This one wasn't directed by Godfrey Ho for a change, but rather famous kung fu actor Phillip Ko, who also takes a small role. The film is a typically slapdash addition to the Filipino-shot wave of war flicks made in the 1980s. This time around, we have a WW2 setting with Japanese bad guys rather than the Vietcong. A bunch of badly-acting heroes run around a lot and shoot stuff, headed by Mike Abbott, the epitome of cheese. What follows makes very little sense overall, but the wealth of action and dated content mean that it's more entertaining than some.

I do love war films

I was blown away how far off context this film went, One of the main characters using an ak 47 , flying sabre f100 jets in ww2 , escorting prisoners while they are holding their guns , men riding into battle on Bradly carriers.

Now I can watch a film that's cheesy corny but these kind of moves Come On !!

The least accurate war film ever made

From the high tops, to the jet fighters, to the m16s, to pretty much everything else, none of this is WWII, but it is. Don't worry about it. Once that little fella falls backwards you'll be hooked. Trust me on this .
