- The main character, Laura, and her boyfriend are making out in a car and she begins to take her top off, but hastily stops when her mother rushes over to the car.

- We see both Laura and her boyfriend bleeding in the water. Later on Laura takes off her hospital bandage when she returns home and a shark's bite marks are clearly seen.

- At the end of the film in a struggle for her life, Laura and Bruce fight on a boat and both fall into the water bleeding. The rogue shark reappears and Laura struggles to get away from Bruce, jabbing his injury. As she swims away, the shark grabs Bruce.
- Laura shoots a harpoon at Bruce and hits him in the shoulder, causing a fairly serious injury.
- When Laura thinks her friend Parker drove up to her house, she heads over to his car calling his name. Instead, she finds him dead with his head wrapped in plastic in the front seat. The scene is frightening and fairly intense.
