Songs performed by The Beatles at this concert included 'You Can't Do That', 'All My Loving', 'She Loves You', 'I Saw Her Standing There', 'Twist and Shout', 'Can't Buy Me Love' and Little Richard's 'Long Tall Sally'.
This was only the third concert on The Beatles' 1964 world tour in which Ringo Starr played the drums. He rejoined the band in Melbourne on 14 June 1964 after recovering from illness. Jimmie Nicol was hired by Brian Epstein to stand in for Starr in their first concerts in Denmark, the Netherlands, Hong Kong and Adelaide, South Australia.
During the final song that The Beatles perform at the concert, Long Tall Sally, an audience member can be seen on the stage before they are arrested by the Victoria Police.
