There Really Is a Paper
Hitchcoc17 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Nina and Alec continue their pursuit of the Ghost Detective. He emerges at the end of the previous episode. We find out that both he and his mentally damaged wife are victims of the ugliness of the pharmaceutical industry. He manages to make deals along the way to get time with his wife. Remember, earlier he held her over a cliff but couldn't bring himself to throw her on the rocks. Nina has a development which complicates her life. Meanwhile, Lucy admits to having some pictures done when she was young and this would be ruinous. She decides to try to talk to Bobby. There are some very bad people who come into play here.

So 5 ep. Into S1 and now our lead character is pregnant. Young Stud GO BABY!!! That's what she wanted. That's what she GOT!

Oh no wait nevermind! It's from her EX. Go figure. Stud boy just totally fell into friend zone land FOREVER.

Other than that this was an okay ep. A little progress here and there. 5/10.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm going to guess that "Paranoid" is a blanket term for the schizophrenic, the pharma people, the police people, the patients and all the king's horses and all the king's men...you get the idea. Everyone is just a little nutso. I actually thought hoodie ghoul was Alec, who I predict either has schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder: SOMETHING.

The characters and storyline aren't terrible but some decisions are ridiculous. Why go thru all that just to set something on fire? "The pages, the pages," this crazy dude (hoodie ghoul) goes thru ALL THAT and THEN sets them on fire in the road...? Then bozo stops and tries to save them? I think the wrong papers were burnt. Could have burnt them eons ago, why now?

Oh, and the global representation: Of course all Americans are drunk brainless skanks or evil CEOs; Germans aren't terribly well presented, either; the Brits are the new Americans, evidently (live long enough, you can see this for yourself).

I've almost stopped watching this several times now. Something needs to turn because it's a lot of nothing considering we're five out of eight eps in at this point. All this could have been done in two or three hours, not five.
