Filmed in around Fuwad's hometown of Stoke On Trent. He filmed it mostly in the city centre Hanley so he could make the city as a character of the film.
Feature film directorial debut of writer and director Fuwad Abrar. He wrote the script on New Years Day in 2016. Wrote it in 2 weeks. He shot the film in 5 days from 4th - 8th April and edited it in 2 months. It was mainly him and his friend Atdhe Latifaj who were the only crew on set throughout the entirety of filming.
The idea came to Fuwad Abrar, when he was walking home from high school back in 2007 and he saw a man on a bench crying. He looked like he had done something wrong or had some regret within him. Fuwad Abrar had been interested in what had happened to him prior to that moment. The idea stuck with him all these years and wrote the script nine years later.
Fuwad Abrar almost pulled the plug on the film many times when he couldn't find the right actor for the film. His initial intention was have Nathan Wallace as the lead, but he dropped out two days before filming was set to begin. It was Atdhe Latifaj, who made him go through with it and not give up on the film. Atdhe then put an ad on a casting call website and ended up getting 140 people applying for the job. They then had to narrow down who would be the perfect actor for the lead. It was then when Samuel Vaughan who sent Fuwad a message saying it was one of the best scripts he'd ever read and he would do it justice. Fuwad then saw his show-reel and some of his previous work and thought that they had found the right guy for the lead.
The film's budget was £200 and that was all from the producer Atdhe Latifaj. He said that he wanted his friend to succeed and had always believed in Fuwad since the day he met him. The film's budget was put into paying for Sam's hotel room and for the food each day.
