There are two issues in this episode. One is the case. It turns out that Wagner, before he died, had promised a young girl that he would find her mother. The second is the fact that Bo is filled with guilt and self loathing. He feels responsible for Wagner's death and the bankrupting of Dicte. Dicte does everything she can to assure him that his surviving is enough. He sells his story to a publisher as a way of paying back the people that supported his rescue. Dicte, trying to pay Wagner back for what he did, giving his life, takes on the case of finding the mother (a wild woman with a shady past) and bringing her murderer (if she is indeed murdered) to justice. She drags Anne to a swamp near a campground where they make a startling discovery.
