Real Teenagers With Multiple Layers
nina_fairfax4 January 2018
This show had me hooked from the get go, not because it was particularly suspenseful (which it did get later on), but because the characters are so very believable. They actually behave like teenagers from the start, instead of being high school stereotypes. I love all three main characters, and how they are taken seriously and don't act overly stupid. These are the kind of characters I've always wished for in teenage drama. I hope it'll set a trend. A pity the episodes are so short though.

Watchable

This show is a weird combination between an interesting premise, good acting, a thriller with great potential and a lot of suspense. It is kind of interesting, and I can't stop watching it, but...that constant feeling of "something's gonna happen, but actually never does" is kind of annoying. I get it, suspense is a crucial part of any thriller, but you can't base the whole series on just this. It's becoming more drama and less thriller as the series progress. Anyways, it's not bad or anything, it just could be a lot better.

Better than expected.
tikitim-7652014 November 2021
I must admit I went into this with low expectations but I found myself binging this series. It was definitely suspenseful and I jumped in parts. It was definitely a teen oriented show but I tend to like those sometimes. The lead actresses were very good. If you like an edge of your seat thriller I think this fits the bill. I haven't finished the season so I am just going on what I have seen thus far. I will likely finish this series.

Creepy real.
mrmikeme16 November 2021
In the age of social tech, this is a creepy look at how kids can be so cruel with no recorse. And a look at how adults are so clueless about what goes on. Well written and acted. Everyone has secrets but nothing is private. Great show.

So..
ts-00003 November 2021
Almost decided to turn it off, after watching about five minutes.. Glad I didn't!

Finished all the seasons in just over a day,as it keeps your interest in the mystery.

Actors chosen, acting, cinematography & overall story was decent.

Sure it was clichéd,etc.. Don't get why the(cop)dad or the(military)teacher was introduced,if their skills played no real story significance. At one point you may of wondered if the teacher was involved in torturing the kids, based on her parts in the movie.

In a way how it ended, another season at some point might be good.

Would recommend seeing it,if you haven't had a chance.

Overall strong with minor flaws

Warning: Spoilers
I will admit the only reason I watched this show recently was because Katelyn Nacon was in it but it had me hooked from the start. The choice of actors were good although some didn't perform as well as others did. The plot was AMAZING and the suspense factors was on point as well.

The BIGGEST problem I had with this show had to be the dialogue. This was some Twilight level dialogue here and combined with some actors not doing that well it was cringey at times. I'm not blaming the actors entirely tho cause we all know that bad writing is as big of a problem to.

The big thing I've come to realize watching the show is that in my opinion Rowan, Hailey, and Alysia are just as much of the antagonists in this series as the Empty's are cuase those 3 all had a part in Dunbar's death. I will say tho Character development in this show is absolutely AMAZING!

All in all with a little better writing this show could've been perfect.

Surpringly Great Show
Shempashland-15 December 2021
With so many of these teen drama/thriller type of shows, that entire world just becomes over saturated and drawn out. This surprisingly was not the case with T@gged.

This former go90 (Hulu for it's later season) show moved so quickly and established many of the storylines without over complicating the plot or pacing of the series. The episodes have about 20 minute run times, which for a show of this caliber is both a positive and negative; negative because you often want more and more. After some research, I learned that since go90's demise, the show developed a large cult following.

The three main actresses are exceptional and you instantly want to follow whatever else they have starred in. The supporting cast is equally as riveting and talented. The storylines never feel corny or unbelievable. In fact, I liken this to the show Pretty Little Liars, which quickly became difficult to sit through for all of the reasons that make T@gged successful.

I will admit that this won't be for everyone and for all of the reasons why I think this show is a hit, someone else might think will be a flop.

Go into it with no expectations and an open mind, follow the path that this story takes you.

The biggest flaw I could find is the fact that it never made it to a fourth season. With it's recent inclusion on Netflix, one can hope that there is a miracle and the network renews this show.

Season 1 is passable
burgerman9330 May 2022
You see a lot of these series where high school kids have to tackle an insane amount of adult problems or a fear of extortion, and are reluctant to ask an adult to intervene. While that formula admittedly wears thing and there's many melodramatic moments, the acting in this web series isn't too bad and the 20 minute episodes are great for anyone whose attention span isn't the best.

Hits and Misses

Warning: Spoilers
This is not a horrible show. It's definitely got an addicting appeal if you like the drama and suspense. I'm not sure why people keep saying this "warns about the dangers of social media". There actually is very little about "social media" in the show, especially because a lot of the "sharing and posting" is actually done without the characters knowledge or permission. Yes, there is "texting" and "direct messaging" but there is very little about how much the characters actually share and post on "social media" - the dangers of technology? Yes. Social Media? Not really. Because, really, there is a difference.

Also, they don't seem to elaborate on some of the characters motivations for key choices - may be because when it comes down to it, teens are illogical. Also the writing sometimes strays away from the way teens actually speak. The acting is good but the dialog sometimes distracts from the emotions the actors are portraying.

The bullying seems unrealistic for this day in age. The show tries to portray this seedy teenage underbelly but ends up coming off as kids trying to emulate adults and bullies they saw in bad after school specials.

These are normal gripes for any show - but it still is good for entertainment and does show originality and promise.

Problematic messages SPOILERS
Jill_193 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
All and all, this could have been a good show. However, there were some serious issues that I just couldn't get past. First, the underage relationship others have mentioned. Then the over the top sympathetic portrayal of Dunbar post death. Meanwhile, there no mention again about the homeless girl he shot in the back and killed. Or how he kidnapped and carved up Elisia's arms. Or how Dunbar stalked and tormented his female classmates. But the biggest flaw is the lack of any care for the girl he murdered. Meanwhile, Dunbar is mourned almost obsessively. He was a killer. If the writer wanted sympathy for this character, she shouldn't have made him a murderer who killed a girl then realized it "wasn't fun like killing a bird"... wtf. Lastly, so none of the adults notice ANY of this is going on?

I did appreciate some of the actors. Potentially, there are a group of them here that could do really good work in the future.

It's been YEARS since PLL...
meglives10 November 2021
And this filled the void for this 28 year old! While it's a little more provocative and lots of skin compared to PLL... It's basically the same jist. And a little more believable than the A thing PLL had going on. I love the 20 min episodes because you're getting the meat not the filler. It's cool because you KNOW the bad guy the whole time and your along for the ride of the girls figuring it out. The concept is creepy because I feel this is pretty close to what someone could do to another person... Just shows how mean teens can be!

Is this you?
kosmasp14 July 2021
Most shows have a really strong central idea. And it is no different in this case. Especially the first season starts off quite strong. I personally think it kind of loses a bit of that in the next two seasons. But then again, the target audience are teens, so they seem to have a different view of things here.

This is a solid overall effort, but there is nothing new and the cliches really pile up. With the way season 2 starts or how the next to last episode of season 3 ends - a sort of cliffhanger. And then we also get an ending to season 3 that suggests a season 4 that never happens ... or it just gives us the old horror cliche of it's never really over ... none of those things really work as efficiently as the show may think.

But again, if you are the target audience you may not care about these things or you just plainly may not have seen as many thrillers and other things that it just feels like this tries to throw anything in the mix here.

I'm not sure why this show has such a high rating
orjazzmicart20 August 2022
This show is average at BEST. The acting is less than spectacular, the plot and dialogue is lazy, awkward and unrealistic. It's okay if you want a cheap mystery or if you have nothing else to watch. It is VERY reminiscent of pretty little liars, so if you're a fan of PLL you'd probably like this show too.

I'm watching this because I'm very bored and this will hold me off for now.

A Social Media and Horror nerds perfect show
samanthagofan7 August 2016
This contemporary new series for Awesomenesstv/Go90 needs to be seen by everyone! The show is so high quality and better than the majority of the shows on TV. The cinematography and directing is great, its gritty, dark, but real also by a fellow female director got to show love for the female film makers :-) The show in itself is inordinately eerie and not in a cheap way either. By using the ever changing new apps that the teens actually use on the show and how little privacy we have in our world, it does warn us how much information we are allowing the world to have open about us. I actually love the use of YouTube celebrities mixed with actors in this show, Although some of the social media stars used in the show is there first acting jobs they bring an element of social fame that you can actually follow along with when watching on go90 app and reading the comments it is a good addition to the show. The acting is superb and the actors all feel like real kids not the cookie cutters of free form, they are flawed and having them live in middle America (not sure where they shoot) makes the scenery feel even more real. Some of the stand out performances are the lead girls Lia Marie Johnson, Lulu Antariska and Katelyn Nacon- they all feel like the real high school stereotypes of your high school not televisions idea. They all bring a great level of vulnerability and flaws to the "protagonist type" characters and they really shine in different episodes in different ways. Lia is very playful and likable, Katelyn has the emotional performances to make you cry, and Lulu is extremely relatable and believable and is also like your best friend in high school that you want to shake to tell her to wake up but hug for support. Brendan Meyer, who plays the school new nerdy kid, plays it very against type and brings a sensitivity and innocence to the character. Lukas Gage, the school asshole plays a very believable portrayal of the bully/antagonist that isn't one note has layers of pain underneath his facade. Danielle Savre, the questionably voyeur-like teacher who is not fond of Lukas' character and feels a closeness to Katelyn's plays a very real and sad character a relatable one to be being an adult who wants to be apart of kids and teens again, Timothy Granaderos brings a very raw, bad boy character but infuses it with a puppy dog sensitivity that is endearing to watch. Nick Fink the guy Lulu dates plays a very mysterious, simple approach to the guy we are wondering if he is good influence or bad influence on one of our main protagonist. These performances stand out to me and feel like a new generation of breakfast club/ pretty little liar types of teams and I can't wait to see where the show goes. The only note I have is the writing is great and feels real but at times the A-story has some gaps in the stories progression with logic, just some minor details need to be a little more clear and precise.

A great Thriller that everyone needs to see!!!
baileelogue25 December 2018
I admit, when I first heard of this show a few months ago, i wasn't too interested as it wasn't promoted much at all. I finally decided to give it a try a few days ago and i'm honestly so thankful i did. This show got me hooked immediately but what really drew me in was seasons two and three. Those two seasons were really emotional for me and really made me see the chemistry that the characters and actors have with each other. It talks about so many important topics like bullying, addiction, family issues and self harm as well as suicide (just to make a few). Those topics are done so well and gently that it makes it so relatable. I found so many characters I can relate to and i know anyone who watches it will find someone they can relate to as well. The format with 23 mins long for each episode is brilliant as you get to not have to deal with too much filler. It's such an easy binge and deserves to have a season 4. This show deserves so much more recognition and everyone needs to see it!!!

Great show

Warning: Spoilers
I love this show. It really shows the dangers of social media. I'm a teen myself, and this is a show that's really important for kids like me to watch. Because this is something that could actually in real life. It has 2 of my favorite people in it as well, Lia and Jc. The show has great acting, good story line, and great humor. It also makes you think, finding out who the killer could be and why they could be doing it. Changing on how you view the world and makes you want to be more careful of you decide to have in your life. A really suspenseful show and it's pretty horrifying as well. I would for sure recommend this to a friend, wonderful show.

So unrealistic it's kind of funny...but not
sketchatron2 January 2022
These girls could have been killed a hundred times over but they're only getting toyed with and they don't take anything seriously and they never tell anyone. There's so much bullying going on in this show it's unbelievable, and what guys bulliy girls this much. I don't think there's one faculty member in that school who sees or hears or does a thing... I mean seriously how is it that people are not getting suspended left and right in that school. I'm pretty sure all the bad people in this show are like gods who can do anything, see everything, have endless skills, move like ninjas, etc.. and yet are supposed to be ordinary kids. I'm not sure if a 10-year-old is writing this stuff or some alien from outer space who knows nothing about humans.

The best teen thriller series I've watched in years.
siagabriel25 December 2018
I literally watched the first two seasons in a single day, as the plot immediately got me hooked. There are major twists that keep the narrative going strong, which is only further built upon with the help of the cast's great performances - their chemistry is so pure and makes the series feel believable and grounded in reality. The fact that the episodes are just 23 minutes long as opposed to the standard 45min is actually beneficial because it makes you keep watching without having to go through hours of filler like other shows. It's honestly a great series that also offers positive LGBT representation, important social messages against bullying, and really creates a family on-screen with the characters. It truly deserves a season 4. I recommend this show 100%!

Failure on all Counts
waddlesydney7 September 2017
Easily one of the worst, most cringe worthy shows I've ever seen. The acting is terrible, the plot is tired, and it isn't relatable in the slightest. It's like someone saw Pretty Little Liars or the Scream series and decided to make a show along that premise but failed miserably. I'm not sure who was in charge of this catastrophe, but I'm pretty sure it was older adults who have no idea what high schoolers actually act like in real life.

clarawesthelle17 February 2019
I watched the whole show in one sitting, cause it was just so good. The plot is really interesting, not easily predictable and managed to make me feel pretty uneasy or scare the sh*it out of me quite often. Tagged got complex characters with interesting backstories and deep relationships. I highly recommend it and hope that we'll get a new season soon. Its worth watching and realls just amazing

Amazing

Warning: Spoilers
It's a really good series, brilliant actually. I don't know why they're not planning for season 4. Also I really wished that Ash would meet his little sister Olive, that was really sad he couldn't. And I kinda feel bad for Jake, cuz he was true and loyal to her but Rowan (whom I actually love the most in the series) ditches him for the guy. Felt really bad for Jake, poor guy. Also they were just 16/17 and Ash proposed to (That chick) Alisia and she says yes. Aren't they kinda minor to do that? I'm really looking forward to see season 4 Hulu..please, don't disappoint the fans. It's really good series don't let it fall apart so simply.

Pretty Little Liars Clone with Terrible Acting
figmar4 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The show initially had a decent storyline with some good twists and turns. It was completely ruined by the addition of 'Zoe'. The actress was terrible in this role which included the least sexy erotic dance ever filmed. Her face along with her acting is mostly expressionless like plastic. I made it through two seasons and was going to skip the third but my friend wanted to watch it so we did. It was a waste of time. I would like to see some of these actors move on to better things but the actress who played Zoe is not one of them.
