The Producer/Executive Producer and Assistant Director, who is also the lead character in this documentary is a veteran B-Movie actor who appeared in close to 30 international Films between the mid-1980s and 1990s. He has worked with well-known Stars like Chuck Norris, Richard Harris, Donald Pleasence, Robert Davi and Richard Hatch.
Director Al Cruz is the founder of the "Fuguwi Collective", which comprises a band of animators, illustrators and visual artists who share the same passion for filmmaking.
The whole documentary was filmed without any filming permits and initially there were a few run-ins with the authorities. Ultimately the film team scheduled filming on public roads over a 1 year period in order not to attract too much attention. Filming was also interrupted by a devastating rainy season and a Category 5 Super Typhoon named "Yolanda", which was destroying vast areas of the Philippines and killed 6340 people. Luckily, non of the vintage muscle cars were damaged.
The Producer was trying to get some Philippine TV networks interested and was refused by everyone. There is basically no support of any kind for independent films in the Philippines as prominent TV networks and film production companies tightly control the market.
Top Gear Philippines picked up on the documentary and featured the trailer on their website where it was viewed by 145,000 people within 24 hours. Even after the massive positive feedback by viewers of the trailer, the producer was still not able to have the film picked up by any Philippine TV station, as entertainment business outsiders are being heavily discriminated against.
