"Timothy", Deb's pet Venus fly trap, was originally intended to be a dog called "Angel". Sadly, the animal actor "Mei Mei the Dog" took ill and was put to sleep one day prior to filming. The switch of role from dog to Venus fly trap was last minute problem solving of the creative team.
The film "Deb's House" is a SAG - new media short film. It's script is made up of key sections of a much larger feature film "Deb". The producers hope to make the feature on location in Wigan, England in the coming years. Based on the reception of "Deb's House" the creative team has also said they would be open minded to optioning it as a Web Series.
The inception of "Deb's House" may have been in part accidentally due to Academy Award winning scenic and costume designer Tony Walton. At the time of Deb's creation both Josh Salt and Charlie Evans (Walton's grand-nephew) worked as personal assistants for him in New York City. This job is how the two met and ultimately began their collaboration. Ultimately Walton's granddaughter Georgia Warner came on board as co-writer/producer/co-director of "Deb's House".
