Browbeaten wimp Sam (a solid performance by Paul McGinnis) hires nerdy hitman Martin Scratch (an amiable portrayal by writer/director Drew Bialy) to kill his evil domineering wife Lola (robustly played to the lip-smacking wicked hilt by Jessica Zwolak). However, pulling off said hit proves to be easier said than done.
Bialy keeps the enjoyable story zipping along at a brisk pace, milks plenty of belly laughs from the inspired sense of dark humor, offers a neat little macabre twist, and even delivers a handy helping of outrageous gore. The three leads all do fine work, with Bialy a particular stand-out as an amusingly unflappable assassin. A total hoot.
