David's life is starting to fray at the edges, with Robyn leaving him, and David kicked out of his home (he only has 1/3 equity in the home). David is aghast by the potential legal fees if his case goes to trial (oh, that's the VAT), and he cannot afford to have a long- term stay at the Raddison, so he ends up traipsing to the Temple Budget Hotel (not sure if that's a real hotel). One humorous moment was when David asks the Budget Hotel clerk where the spa is, and she helpfully directs him down the road...then David is dejected seeing it's a Spar supermarket lol!!! Actually Spar is decent for groceries, just like Costcutters, although I appreciate David is more into Waitrose. Thankfully Karen, persuaded by the daughters, allows David to return home.
Adam has difficulty community with Angela due to IT issues and a sense of frustration at the long commutes between Manchester and Singapore (thankfully Singapore Airlines flies between these two cities). Still the journey takes a physical toll on Adam but at least he would get decent frequent flyer points that may help bump him up to business class. It's incredibly maudlin that half-way through season 6, Adam's relationship with Angela has reached breaking point.
Jeffrey Ho as Joe Lee, a porter at a Singapore hotel, deserves special mention for his performance.
