This series has managed to succeed where Game Of Thrones failed. This is an epic, huge saga with an enormous amount of storylines and characters. And yet, it managed to stick the landing and give us one of the best final episodes ever!
The fact that they managed to resolve so many things in such a short time, and yet nothing feels rushed or hamfisted, is really impressive. They even managed to amazingly subvert our expectations a couple of times, especially with the character of Oberstein.
The ending itself is bittersweet and would definitely stick with me for many years to come. I even shed a tear during the final scene.
