Just filming their vacation.

A short interesting bit with an Alfa Romeo, and then we get dragged into watching their day at the beach.

Same people defending this are rolling their eyes and asking what the world is coming to when they see kids let "influencers" trick them into paying for their vacation.

95% drivel, 5% cars

as time passes we age or mature, i.e. children become adults. Strange then that these three presenters remain prepubescent children. Clearly they are an exception to maturing. One gets the distinct impression that fart gags would have them in stitches for hours. Consequently almost an hour of utterly puerile nonsense dominates the show. For sure the huge new budget supplied from ".com land" budget means the camera work is great and the show comes from glossy locations (and Scotland) dotted all around the world. Whilst the BBC might have held the three stooges back budget wise, at least Aunty has editorial integrity and kept them vaguely on track. TG was a car show, not a comedy. Sadly TGT is neither. It's three juvenile but middle aged men, cracking unfunny knob gags, messing about and conducting a single car review per episode. Much of the format is clearly from BBC era TG. It's actually hard to watch a whole TGT show which is a shame. Somehow the chemistry has diminished. I reckon they're trying to hard because they need to justify a season's budget per episode.

Warning: Spoilers
If you used to watch Top Gear UK, this series (The Grand Tour) is basically the same. I used to like it, but, with each episode, the 3 presenters are getting weirder and weirder. This episode is full of rubbish. I only watched the first 15 minutes or so when they tested the Alfa Romeo Giulia. But then I simply fast forwarded to the end and found nothing else in this episode interesting. They started talking about the Corals on the Beach and sinking cars and that sort of nonsense. And James May couldn't help but mention that the 206 they were sinking was not good. I wonder how he came to this conclusion about the best selling car in its category in Europe for 4 straight years and it sold by millions. I bet he hasn't drove one and if he did, maybe for a short period of time. Well I owned one and it was brilliant.
