bros running a bar

It's the 70's in a small American town. Chris, Liam, and Manny are aimless roommates working in the kitchen of a restaurant. They open a bar with many misadventures and chaos that follow.

I don't really care about these guys. I don't really know enough to distinguish the various beautiful babes. I really wish that I like any of these characters or care about them. I don't. I don't actually hate anybody. I don't know any of these actors. They're just a bunch of bros serving underaged babes. It's not ridiculous enough to be It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It's a middling comedy that isn't that funny.

Strong cast, well done, fun to watch.

Often when you watch big established names you see the same character style repeated in all their films, or it's all about the VFX. It's great to watch lesser known actors because you can see the raw talent emerging unlike the stereotypical style of branded actors. This film has a great ensemble of actors, is well done, and fun to watch.

Fine coming of age film

Watched a wonderful small gem of a coming of age film on Prime- Across The Rails. It's a sweet/affecting look at three 20ish young men in a small seaside town in Florida who aspire to open their own bar. Along the way we witness their trials/tribulations and their discovery of what they really want out of life. Yep we've seen this film done dozens of times but the leads have good chemistry and it's great a see an indie film lovingly filmed in Florida. The Boynton Beach and Delray Beach locales are shot beautifully by Colin Watkinson. A wonderful new surprise to discover on Prime!
