During the first world war, a German submarine sinks a British ship and takes the survivors on board. The U-boat eventually floats to a land called Caprona, where dinosaurs and cavemen are on the attack.

This 1974 movie, The Land That Time Forgot, fails largely because it tries to be grander than it is and takes itself way too seriously. This makes it perfect fodder for the friendly crew of The Satellite Of Love.

This is the seventh entry in the latest reboot of Mystery Science Theater and it is the best one so far. (I'm watching them in sequence.) This episode will be of particular interest to British fans (like me) as it contains a host of well-known names and faces that Americans won't be familiar with.

The token American for this flick was pretty boy Doug McClure who was mercilessly hammered by The Simpsons (at least while Phil Hartman was around) and probably deserved it. But I remember him as my favorite character, Trampas, on the American TV western - 'The Virginian'.

As usual, the riffs fly in thick and fast and most of them hit the mark. Lots of hidden and obscure gems as well as the funny on-screen references.

My favorite gags: "Finally, me Pringles have arrived!" and "Down microscope... down microscope."

This one is a big hit and will be near or at the top of the list of episodes, I watch again once I've made it through the next seven!
