A great Christmas episode with so much happening. I loved Dr K story. Considering the circumstances it was truly the fate as Jack said. And I loved how he survived at the end! Really didn't expect it. But is Toby dying now? Hopefully not! We also have this great part where Randall stops his colleague from killing himself talking about forgiveness. Which sure is leading him further to forgive his mother. And when it comes to forgiveness we find out that William is gay and he goes at this episode to see his partner Jessie to spend the rest of his life with him as well.

This show takes on everything in a new way. It deals with the reality that holidays for some are not pleasant; as a matter of fact they are dangerous. It starts out with a childhood Christmas where Kate has a terrible stomach ache which turns out to be appendicitis on Christmas Eve. While she is in surgery the others meet Dr. K., the guy who delivered the triplets. He is in grave danger and the prognosis is not good. We move to the future and the realization that William is probably gay. He meets his former lover at an NA meeting and they decide to connect one last time before William dies. One of the little girls announces that Grandpa is gay. In the most dramatic scene, Randall is going to buy a boat from a friend. He changes his mind, finds the guy to get his money back. The guy is getting ready to jump several stories. He has lost his wife and has done some bad stuff financially. Randall talks him off.
