Hosted by Jeff Dye, "That Awkward Game Show" is a game show somewhat similar to "The Newlywed Game", where three teams of partners answer questions about each other. But in TAGS, the teams are made up of a parent and (an adult) child. And the questions are not about opinions, but factual happenings--especially ones that are embarrassing.

In the first two rounds, they get multiple choice questions about things the other has done. The rewards for correct answers range from $500 to $3,000. The questions can be about sex, drugs, rock and roll or any other topic that is risqué. The team that gets the most money advances to the "Truth Bombs" round, where they can earn up to $10,000 for correctly answering true/false questions about each other.

Not everyone would be willing to go on television and admit some of these secrets. Frequently the parent or child is shocked. It's all played for laughs and Jeff Dye keeps things positive, injecting one-liners along the way.

When my wife, adult children and I watched this new game show offering we loved it. We loved that each segment with the children and then the parents included more than one question and more secrets were revealed from each set of partners. The show was funny and risqué.

Then the show went on a break and came back very very disappointing. Each segment was cut to only one question and they at times have been stuff that was almost boring. Even one of the early episodes was redone with the new treatment.

The series seems to only have filled the time with more advertisements as we aren't learning more about the family partnerships or anything. This was a very promising show. We sure hate to see what happened to it.

On I'm BD it says the show still airs but I watch Paramount every day and I haven't seen that show in years but there is a commercial for it that shows a Episode that has already aired from years ago, what the heck?
