Siskel & Ebert (1998)

Season 12, Episode 44

The comedy THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY, THE MARK OF ZORRO, POLISH WEDDING, POODLE SPRINGS and the controversial remake of LOLITA are the film's reviewed on this week's episode of Siskel and Ebert. As I watch these episodes, nearly two decades after they aired, I must admit that they still hold up quite well. The format of the show still works and I always thought it was great that they managed to review both mainstream and arthouse pictures. This episode has some fun debates about LOLITA, which Siskel felt wasn't all it could have been. There's also a fun chat about the comedy of THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY. Fans of the show will certainly be entertained by this one.
