- Melanie can hardly cope with the news of Max's imminent departure. She is thinking of following her dreamboat to Boston. Armin sobers her up in her euphoric plans. He points out to her that a touring musician may not be as serious about such an affair as she thinks. However, Max confesses to Bernd that he feels the same way as Melanie. But Bernd fears that his sister is too unstable to cope with a move to the United States. So neither Max nor Melanie dares to ask the decisive question ... Irene wonders about Stefanie's aloof behavior towards her. Then she discovers Margot's announcement in the foyer and is informed by Wolfgang that the new tenant is a call girl. Bernd is completely irritated when he learns about Stefanie's 'true' way of life. However, he manages to warn her, because Margot has already called in the public order office. Finally, Stefanie learns what is being said about her. She decides to put a brilliant end to the character assassination ... Regina is quite shaken by the events of the last few days. She tells Marc and Antonia that she misses talking to Irene. Laura, on the other hand, feels completely good. She prides herself on her false game. But the old bonds of friendship are stronger. Irene and Regina finally speak out and find out who is responsible for the many misunderstandings. Joachim angrily confronts Laura and finally kicks her out of the apartment.
