US textile firm partners David Curry and Robbie Garcia are missing in Dacca with local driver Uday Zaman after an appointment with Banglasdeshi sweat shop boss Niklas Poulsen, whom the trio betrayed by dealing with a competitor. Despite credibility loss risk, fabulously well-connected and -informed BBC reporter Jeffrey Kahn counsels the team and acts as translator, the tiny police force could only assign single Constable Hoque. Uday was blackmailed for debts by henchmen of a ruthless street gang who shot only him, but not on boss's orders, nor kept by them. The rogue gang intruder who has and abuses the Americans with a fatal result has his own bitterly vindictive tragic motive.
