A Big Thumbs Up for me!
craigahrens28 March 2020
I just watched the first episode of Season 1, For Better or Worst. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I loved the characters. I thought the actors did a very solid job! The lead actors in particular! Writer/Director Luner Eugene does a great job as Director. My interest was held throughout. I never once found myself drifting off. I'm looking forward to watching the other "5" episodes and hoping there's a Season 2. A thumbs up on this one for me!!

Smart and sexy engaging drama

It explores the dark aspects of marriage and relationships in a series that is well-acted and well-produced. It's an engaging story which unravels at a solid pace with interesting reveals that keep you hooked. It is dramatically heavly with few moments of levity, but the mystery, twists and romance provide plenty of entertainment.

Excellent job on a tough topic

Wow. Was not sure what to expect on a six part series that included domestic violence. Thought I would just give the first episode a watch. Well, I ended up watching the whole series in one sitting. It was tough at times, particularly for those who have first hand experience with domestic abuse. Director Luner Eugene does a very nice job and balance. The acting is also well done. Hats off to a meaningful piece of filmaking.

Hard hitting romantic drama

I love a drama that has some thriller elements to it, and this one definitely does. It's an unflinching look at an abusive relationship, wonderfully acted and realistically written. If you have a spare minute, give this indie gem a watch!

Compelling Portrait of Abuse in Relationships
TheAll-SeeingI1 February 2020
Great art isn't always easy to consume. Verily, there's nothing popcorn or pop music about the exceptional "Loving Till It Hurts" six-episode series. This is an immersive, tension-driven presentation of the constantly escalating complexities and unpleasant truths hovering over and around the misappropriations of power that characterize abusive relationships.

In the most starkly fascinating of ways, writer/director Luner Eugene manages to approach this subject with a deftness and unvarnished delicacy so often absent from like-minded depictions. Eugene's knife-sharp dialogue and ability to drive at the essential essence is complemented by a terrific atmospheric barrenness; there's a visual projection of desolation here that's further set off by spot-on casting -- the acting of the leads in particular is both engrossing and truthful.

Most people like to think they really do appreciate entertainment content that deals in the real. "Loving Till It Hurts" may prove to be an ideal barometer for measuring exactly that, as there's nothing about this series that doesn't cut to the bone. Challenging, compelling stuff done at an exceedingly high level. - Was this review of use to you? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!

Great Series

Once I started I couldn't stop watching. This is a serious series, with a serious topic. It was beautifully shot and the story well written. As someone that is not used to relationships like this, it was a real eye opener to me. Seeing what domestic violence is all about was good as it is a subject that should be exposed. It had my attention all the way. Well done to the creators of this series.

OMG

OMG, this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen! I watched it up until the lady (whatever her name is) walked into the couple's house, while he was whipping her. So you mean to tell me only the Caucasian lady was bold enough to stand up to this guys?

At this point I have had enough! The acting/actors was not the best, the script was unbelievably predictable, and STUPID at its best.

The wife is just going to stick around, be beat/be a punching bag at her husband's discretion!

No tears, no visible bruises.....I guess this is what you get when someone is starting off in their script writing career.

Keep working at your talent. Although in my opinion I found this movie to be corny, with time your skills should get better!

"Practice makes perfect!"

bigbillpa20 March 2020
When I first start watching this movie it was really good what this series but as it went on this just shows how dumb some women can be and this long drawn-out this man is just beating his woman is she staying there I don't like it and I do not give y'all a good rating for that because that makes women look real stupid

Terrible acting, and poor quality.
mayajenkins-563576 May 2020
The fact that this story depicts domestic violence is something I can really appreciate and I understand how hard it is to be in that situation. As a woman J feel like they depicted her as weak, and naive. There were so many people that wanted to help her but she was so consumed with her own feelings of not having anything to fall back on. Its 2020 there are so many places that are willing to help woman going through these situations. I just don't feel sorry for her, because eventually you have recognize what love is and isn't.
