Something that drives me nuts is Dan A. saying "We're going to take a short break, and we'll be right back.". Five minutes and 8 commercials later they return...for 10 minutes. Thank goodness for the Video recorder that let's me fast forward through the stinky commercials!

This is an interesting show. Every episode is 3 hours and its live. It cameras following different police departments from all over the United States. However the show should be called "I smell Marijuana" because every 2 minutes that is what is said on this show.

Most of the time the cops seem to arrest black people people because they have a small amount of drugs on them. Most of the time the amount they have is very little! Its obvious for personal use but if its over a certain amount they get busted for "Intention Sell" (Which is bulls**t). Then while the cops are searching the suspects car they always call for back up and there ends up being on average 6 policemen on a low level drug possession. This explains why there is never a cop around when you need one.

To me all drugs should be legal and just stop with this drug war. Regulate it like booze. If you want to see how we can save money in this country then watch this show.

I also want to point out that Dan Abrams is an excellent legal consultant & talking head. He is not a comedian so he needs to stop with his jokes. There not funny. There not an offensive type of joke there just not funny. The last I checked he was hired as a host and legal consultant. He wasn't hired to tell jokes.

I was amazed at the raw reality of what our officers face every day which this television series presents. Time and again I find myself relaxing with Live PD after a hard day's work.

Please explain why so many commercials! I get there has to be some, but it's crazy how many & then to end a show before it's over is very disturbing.And its every week. I like the show but those two things are about to make me quit watching.

I have to admit I did not have a very good opinion about police officers until I saw this show. It's amazing how officers try to protect people and look out for their welfare. I totally respect and honor all policeman after viewing the show.

Like Cops but Dan Abrams, Tom Morris Jr and Sean Larkin offer fair and entertaining insights and comments. As cameras from around the U.S follow police on their often unpredictable and wild evenings.

I love the show but one small thing that drives me crazy that officers do on the show, the same as in reality but it seems the panel is unaware of accurately understanding a simple court ruling. TERRY v. OHIO. I see the officers, as most officers do, performing the "Terry Search" of virtually everyone they encounter and hear the panel commenting that police can "frisk" everyone they encounter, a "pat down" to ensure they are not armed. This simply is not true. "A "Terry Stop" is a stop of a person by law enforcement officers based upon "reasonable suspicion" that a person may have been engaged in criminal activity". This must be based ""specific and articulable facts" and not merely upon an officer's hunch". They use the "consensual contact" reasoning which is true in some but not all of the situations on the show. In a "consensual contact" situation, the person must be able to, without interference from law enforcement, be free to leave by saying they are not interested in talking or saying nothing at all and walking away. To do a "Terry stop" "frisk" the police must have "reasonable suspicion the person is armed and dangerous", a fear for the safety of himself and others, the officer may conduct a carefully limited search of the outer clothing in an attempt to discover weapons that might be used to assault him or her. This does not include going through pockets or asking the person to empty their pockets (which is the same as if the officer did it himself). They act as if they cry out TERRY STOP that they are free to do as they please. Not true.

I like how the show shows you how hard cops work and it shows you that being a cop isn't as easy as you may think and they sacrifice their lives to protect the citizens of the United States of America.👮💪😀🇺🇸💖🍩

My wife and I can't stop watching. We are addicted. We have made nicknames for our favorite officers. Humpty Dumpty, Uncle Fester, Alysia Wright (who can never be wrong), Rebecca Pink (handcuffs), Big Bad Brown, Flex's boss Denver Leverett, ... Can't wait each week. Nice job.

Every call these officers get can prove to be interesting or dangerous. The multiple cameras provide coverage for five to six cities across the U.S. If you like quick moving action scenes, this show is for you! As one scene ends it will leave you wondering what is going to be happening in the next. You will be mesmerized by all the action and humor behind the scenes.

Today I watched a episode that showed just the trail end of a woman who had refused to get out of the car and the K9 officer was sent in to make her get out. My complaint is that you only showed the very short end of the stop but had showed two or three sobriety stops and tests that drone on and on. We've seen enough of those to last a lifetime. But you cut off the interesting stuff. Enough with the drunks all ready. Show the good stuff.

Just like COPS. This show is a perfect reason why people have to understand their rights. i dont hate good police officers, we need them! the crooked ones need to go.

You guys seem to be really jovial when people get arrested, don't get me wrong, I love the show, it teaches me a lot, trust me when I say "people don't need the police in there life if at all possible. I've had police in my life many times, it's never a good outcome. Mostly because of vengeful girlfriends. You shouldn't be happy to arrest people for dumb stuff . I understand there are people out there that need to be arrested. I commend the officer's in Texas that didn't arrest that father with the two kids at home. But you guys lie to get what you want and charge people for lying to you. That's all I have for now. Like I said, great show. Keep locking good people up and destroying families before you have both sides of the story. The only change I would make is to get both sides before you arrest people and ruin lives.

Ever since the beginning, I've loved live PD. It goes beyond the typical cop reality show and shows multiple police interactions throughout the United States. Since it's live (mostly), some episodes are better than others. An episode falling on Halloween makes for a great episode but a slow night leads to a lot of boring traffic stops and DUI tests. If you can understand this about the show and also that some cops may be less fair than others, it's a really fun show to watch on the weekend. I love coming home from work and watching a few solid hours of live PD.

As for everyone complaining that the show jumps all over the place, I think they are viewing the show as something similar to cops where there are 3 stories with a beginning and end. Live PD is a 3 hour show that is meant to show you highlights of what is going on around the country. Plus, a lot of the time cops have to ask questions or check things on their computers so why air all of that just to get to the conclusion. And from the many hours I've watched this show, they always seem to do a good job of telling us the outcome, even if they don't go back to the scene they will verbally tell the viewer.

I enjoy the program, particularly the going from one agency to another. To me, it keeps the show moving and interesting. It illustrates the different styles of policing by individual and department. I also agree with Donald Dozier regarding Terry vs Ohio. Every episode I wonder why no one challenges the overreaching aspects of the searches. Terry v. Ohio, 392 U.S. 1 (1968), was a decision by the United States Supreme Court which held that the Fourth Amendment prohibition on unreasonable searches and seizures is not violated when a police officer stops a suspect on the street and frisks him or her without probable cause to arrest, if the police officer has a reasonable suspicion that the person has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime and has a reasonable belief that the person "may be armed and presently dangerous." For their own protection, after a person has been stopped, police may perform a quick surface search of the person's outer clothing for weapons if they have reasonable suspicion that the person stopped is armed. This reasonable suspicion must be based on "specific and articulable facts" and not merely upon an officer's hunch. This permitted police action has subsequently been referred to in short as a "stop and frisk," or simply a "Terry frisk". The Terry standard was later extended to temporary detentions of persons in vehicles, known as traffic stops; see Terry stop for a summary of subsequent jurisprudence.

The rationale behind the Supreme Court decision revolves around the understanding that, as the opinion notes, "the exclusionary rule has its limitations." The meaning of the rule is to protect persons from unreasonable searches and seizures aimed at gathering evidence, not searches and seizures for other purposes (like prevention of crime or personal protection of police officers).

Hello, I like how it is filmed live, but they need to organize the show better so the host doesn't need to be rushed every time they show their scene with the interviewees. Great show otherwise almost like Cops. I am guessing the producers from Cops produced this maybe? Not sure because I haven't researched into it much.

If there was ever a clearer window in which to look through at the world we live in today, than 'Live PD' is one of the more compelling shows to watch that reveal the true horror that our society now seems to accept as normal. Its sad to see how militarized the police have become right across the country since 9/11. At times I see the police as bully's with smiles talking politely to their clients in today's slang, bro, but yell and jump on you if you do not comply to their wishes. One thing, among many, that I notice is that every vehicle pulled over get's inspected with the occupant's hand cuffed most times, live. It seems no one pulled over is told by the officer, 'You have a tail light out so here is a warning to get it fixed, now be on your way and get it fixed, and have a nice day'. Everyone is now guilty until they can prove their not despite what they say. We've become a very brutal society while saying how we should love each other. On the other hand people are still doing things they shouldn't and the police definitely show they have a nose for it by how many are guilty of something that they investigate. I give it a 10 because you're seeing the truth and actions are always the proof of the truth. Driving a vehicle, riding a bike, walking down the street or just hanging out with a friend or two can so easily be disrupted now a days if one doesn't learn from what this show is teaching them. This kind of show teaches people to live in fear, and not from any terrorist. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?

I love this show, I watch every Friday-Saturday with my family. We've now got favorite cops and places and I look forward to watching every week. We even play LivePD bingo! Some days, the action isn't as crazy, but every once in a while you get to see some chases and cool stuff. Can't even choose a favorite moment!

Now the host has jokes that are clearly written for him. FAIL

I love this show, but the main narrator in the newsroom needs to stop showing his non pecks, aka male nipples showing through tight shirts on a little man is offensive.

The South Carolina and Oklahoma cops are sketchy at best. I wish the hosts would call a little more out when it comes to these officers and situations. Police brutality and profiling is not a figment of ppl's imagination, so lets not pretend. Still love the show tho...so good!

I do love this show better than cops. The show Cops is just all about car chase or drug bust, and corny jokes. This show is more than that even homicide. I do have problems with some cops showing that they let people go even if they are clearly under the influence.
