I had my reservations during that first scene and then moreso when the premise was explained, but I laughed a lot throughout it. The dinner scene and his attempts at playing racist to try and get out of it was good throwback comedy.
I don't know if Stephen Mangan can dominate a show like this on his own, as funny as he may be. We may need the supporting cast to take on more lines and time moving forward.
