The entire episode should have been devoted to Max's exit from the show. Paying lip-service once the main plot of the episode concluded was a disservice.
Instead, we're subjected to the killing of a policeman during a bombing in Hawaii and then the story becomes somewhat muddled involving what led up to this dastardly deed.
The episode would have been far better to devote the entire hour to Masa Oka's performance as Dr. Max Bergman through the years. There could certainly have been a compilation of scenes showing Max from previous shows.
I wonder why Masa is leaving the show in its seventh season. During the singing and dancing the Jewish phrase of Mazel Tov was extended to him. After all, he did portray Dr. Max Bergman.
