Francis wears a shirt indicating that the bar is called "The Breach Bar and Grille." This is a reference to Hal's monologue in Henry V, in which Hal says, "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more."
The family that gets "robbed" are credited as Blanche, Philippa, Thomas, Humphrey, and Richard. Blanche, Philippa, Thomas, and Humphrey are the names of King Henry V's siblings. Richard is a reference to Richard Burbage, the leading player of William Shakespeare's company, who very well may have originated the role of Hal, as well as Hamlet, Macbeth, and many others.
Actor Megan Lear and actor/director Cedric Gegel were also in a production of "Hamlet" together at the time of filming.
Mistress quickly is briefly seen in one shot reading a book. The book is director Cedric Gegel's personal copy of "Henry IV Part I." She has it open to Act I, Scene II: the very scene being filmed at that moment.
