- As Brody, Preston and Sarah return to Brody's childhood home in an attempt to find his lost family, Hayley and Calvin come across a strange alien named Mick.
- Preston, Sarah and Redbot join Brody's search for his little brother. Returning to his childhood home, long-abandoned, Brody digs for his father's stash of Ninja Steel, only to find a clue for where it's been re-hidden. Meanwhile, lovers Hayley and Calvin and Hayley's dog Kody come across Mick, disguised as junk metal amidst debris from space. Their attempt to hide their new, alien friend among students at the Summer Cove High School auto body shop results in Principal Hastings mistaking Mick for the new head mechanics teacher whom she thought declined the job. With Hayley and Calvin showing moxie, the Nexus Prism allows them to become Power Rangers. Galvanax, enraged at seeing teenagers access "his" Nexus Prism, applies a rule change to the alien TV show Galaxy Warriors, declaring anyone a winner who can kill these new Power Rangers and bring him their Ninja Power Stars.—statmanjeff
- Broken down on a deserted backroad, Hayley verbally soothes her dog Kody, saying it won't be much longer. Closing the hood over a steaming engine, Calvin says Nitro is feeling much better. Hayley reminds Calvin that she, Hayley, is his girlfriend and that Nitro is just a truck. Calvin shushes her, saying she might hurt Nitro's feelings, and proceeds to baby-talk his vehicle.
Debris suddenly falls from the sky all around them, some bearing slime and all blocking the road. The teen couple investigates. Calvin picks up a bit of slime and playfully threatens Hayley with it, calling it "an alien," but both are generally creeped out by it.
Calvin kicks away a big wad of what looks like silver masking tape, which transforms into Mick rubbing his now injured butt. In reaction, Hayley and Calvin pick up pieces of debris by which to defend themselves. Hurt but not threatening, Mick introduces himself as head mechanic of The Warrior Dome where they film the intergalactic TV show "Galaxy Warriors." Since Earth doesn't receive any intergalactic TV shows, Hayley and Calvin stand clueless. Mick cautiously categories Earth as "behind the times."
Suddenly remembering that Brody's from Earth, Mick presumes Hayley and Calvin know him. They don't. Mick tries contacted Brody with his Datacom, but it doesn't work right.
It dawns on Calvin that Mick must be an alien. Mick concurs. His transformation was to escape alien space monsters - like the ones now coming up behind Hayley and Calvin.
At seeing the approaching Kudabots, Hayley and Calvin's first thought is to see if they can scare them off, making a brave stand while not-so-brave Mick scurries into their truck. Now alone, the pair fight and do fairly well but still jump in their truck and drive off.
Ripcon suddenly appears, belatedly, and chastises his warriors for letting them get away.
In the Warrior Dome, Galvanax fumes before Madame Odius over how, in ten years, no monster could pull the Ninja Power Stars from the Nexus, yet three teenagers come along and do it with no problem. Madam Odius apologizes for her inability to explain it. Ripcon enters and reports finding Mick but losing him to two teenagers. "Teenagers?!" Galvanax declares the Earth's infested with them, like cockroaches.
Having a eureka moment, Galvanax changes the rules of "Galaxy Warriors:" Any contestant who can destroy the Power Rangers and bring back their Power Stars becomes a Galaxy Warriors Champion just like Galvanax. From the fans, this declaration gets wild approval.
Hayley and Calvin return to Summer Cove High School, aiming to hide Mick among the shop class students while he repairs his Datacom.
Principal Hastings spots Mick straightaway but mistakes him for the new shop teacher who turned down the job (but must have reconsidered). Being an alien, Mick shakes her hand - side to side rather than up and down. She's glad he's changed his mind and, looking him over, declares he should feel right at home in the "grease pit," whereby, discomforted by the surroundings, she's immediately exits.
As Mick turns to Hayley and Calvin over this unexpected development, Victor Vincent and sidekick Monty drive out of the paint booth in a sky blue car (unaware of parking on the spray paint hose). Victor, pointing out his dazzling smile and six-pack abs, introduces himself as - clearly - Mick's top student and pulls the overwhelmed alien over to check out his beautiful, one-of-a-kind paint job.
The blocked paint hose turns critical. Mick, sensing something wrong, ducks out just before the hose explodes, sploching Victor and Monty in sky blue paint. Mick declares them now three-of-a-kind.
Brody finds his family's home long deserted and stresses over the whereabouts of his missing younger brother, Aiden. Hayley comforts him by reminding Brody that if Aiden was also trained as a Ninja Warrior, and was only half as resourceful as his older brother, he'll be just fine. Preston reminds them that Galvanax could arrive at any time; they need to secure the Ninja Steel.
Brody digs a hole in the barn (a common ninja training exercise in "Dad's workshop") where he thinks Aiden would have buried the Ninja Steel. He recounts the story of when the Ninja Nexus Prism landed in their yard, his dad chipping off the Ninja Steel to make throwing stars.
Having taken over the digging, Redbot hits the buried chest. Brody pulls it out only to find it empty save for a family photograph. A clue?
Mick repairs the Datacom.
Sarah recognizes the trophy in the family photo. It's the one trophy in the school display cabinet without Victor Vincent's name on it. Redbot discovers a buzzcam in their midst. Now Galvanax knows where the Ninja Steel's hidden, too. Cosmo Royale, in compliance, sends new contestant Ripperrat to fetch the Ninja Steel.
Mick contacts Brody through their Datacoms. Brody explains their need to get to the high school and snag his dad's trophy from the display case. Fortuitously, Mick is already at the school and can handle the problem with Hayley and Calvin.
As Brody and friends race to the high school, Cosmo declares the show about to begin.
Mick finds the trophy with the Ninja Steel pieces inside. Once outside the school building, Ripperrat attacks. Hayley and Calvin grab whatever's available - a tennis racket and a baseball bat - to fight the monster. Having mangled Calvin's metal bat, Ripperrat declares their bones to be next and knocks them on their backsides.
The studio's monster audience cheers wildly.
Ripperrat approaches Mick, demanding the trophy, and knocks Mick's Datacom out of commission.
The Ninja Nexus Prism flies in, knocking Ripperrat aside, saving Mick and agitating Galvanax.
Mick, seeing the Ninja Power Stars glowing within the Nexus, instructs Hayley and Calvin to reach in and grab them. Calvin extracts the yellow, Hayley the silver. The Nexus then flies away. Mick's excited for Hayley and Calvin, but the two teens don't realize what obtaining the Power Stars means.
Brody and friends arrive to declare them fellow Power Rangers. Hayley, astonished, recognizes Preston; Preston, also astonished, recognizes Hayley and Calvin; Sarah, new to Summer Cove High School, introduces herself as someone from out of town; Brody introduces himself as someone from outer space; Redbot simply introduces himself; and, Ripperrat, recovering from the bushes, introduces himself as the one who'll make them all pay for stealing from Champion Galvanax.
Brody tells Calvin to follow his lead. "Why, what's gonna happen?" No time to explain. It's Morphin Time. "Ninja Spin!" The five transform into Power Rangers and attack with various new weapons - bow and arrows, blade, claw and sword - and reduce Ripperrat to a fiery red explosion.
Watching through the buzzcams, Galvanax is enraged at seeing five Power Rangers. Cosmo Royale decides to give Ripperrat another chance by hitting a Gigantify button. From the flames, Ripperrat arises only to find his chainsaw limbs not working right away.
The Prism returns, showing a vision which Mick recognizes as Zords. Taking the throwing stars forged by Brody's dad, Mick tosses them into the Nexus which, in turn, releases Zord Stars to the Rangers. Attaching them to their Ninja Star Blades, the Rangers call forth their Zords and name them: Robo-Red Zord, (Blue) Dragon Zord, (Pink Train) Zoom Zord, (Yellow Truck) Nitro Zord, (White Dog) Kodiak Zord. The Zords make short work of the Ripperrat giant, and Cosmo declares Summer Cove "rat free."
The Power Ranger team wheels the empty Ninja Nexus Prism into the high school shop classroom to hide it before classes start. Calvin proposes that the paint booth, which Victor and Monty ruined earlier, be made their base of operation.
Brody says it looks like he'll finally get to go to high school and thanks everyone for helping him out, but then he apologizes for getting them all involved, calling it an accident. Maybe not an accident, says Mick, speculating that the Ninja Nexus Prism may have recognized Galvanax as a threat to the universe and selected these five as those who could protect it.
Sarah turns Brody's attention to the fact that he said there were six Ninja Power Stars in the Prism. It's empty now. What happened to the sixth?
Cosmo is deliriously happy. The Power Rangers have boosted "Galaxy Warriors'" ratings to even greater heights, but Galvanax cares not. He just wants those Power Stars. Madam Odius watches from around the corner. She holds the sixth, gold Power Star and laughs evilly.
