Vapid and Disappointing
laurendrosos16 January 2017
Khloe K was the only Kardashian that I could relate to. She seemed less robotic than her other siblings and I always enjoyed her no nonsense attitude. I watched this on whim; I enjoy most weight loss shows like: The Biggest Loser, and MTV's I Used to be Fat. Immediately I realized this how promotes weight loss for the worst reason imaginable-other people's approval. Weight loss and transforming a lifestyle takes commitment and it's a journey we take on our own. While we may have mentors along the way, the results and the effort is very much our own. Revenge Body (RB) sends the message, almost immediately, that you should transform yourself as a big F U to anyone who has wronged you. Again, seeking other people's approval is not healthy. RB seemed like a choppy program and sloppily put together. Clearly, Ms. Kardashian capitalized on her new body image with this show. This is NOT a relatable program. Firstly, Ms. Kardashian has enough money to hire personal trainers to train her every day and a chef to cook her meals every day. This is not feasible for the typical American who wants to lose weight. Moreover, the show doesn't even touch upon how the contestants fully change their lifestyles. Secondly, Khloe looks great, no denying that, but it's hard as a viewer to look at her seriously knowing how she feels about body augmentation and plastic surgery. What is real, what isn't? These are pertinent questions that need to be answered if you want to be taken seriously and have credibility with your audience. This show seemed vapid and shallow. At the beginning of the show we see a team of beauty stylists pampering Khloe before she meets her contestants. I was extremely bothered by this because we have these clearly self-conscious individuals waiting to meet Khloe. From the episode I watched, it didn't seem like these contestants had any prepping or makeup/wardrobe before meeting Khloe K. It made Khloe seem like a beautiful goddess next to peasants, which is again unnecessary and not relatable. The show managed to exhibit product placement for the other Kardashian family members: Kendall and Kylie Swimsuits, and Kylie Cosmetics. All in all, this show is a clear attempt for Khloe to market her new body image to her fan base. After all, these family members are best at selling themselves.

Khlobacca Returns!

Disgusting show. It's a cheap variation on the "make over show." Khloe is vapid as ever and her phoney personality totally comes through. Despite her attempt to portray glamor she's the epitome of sleeze and uses the people on the show to further her own career. I dislike her even more after watching RB than I did before. One thing that makes this show so sad is seeing that the people who go through this so called 'transformation' are eventually discarded like the human detritus they are. In the end they are all chewed up and spit out for the glory of the Kardashian empire. Taking action and making a change for the better is always a good thing, so my suggestion is to turn off this garbage and read a book, engage with your friends and family, or practically anything else besides watching this tripe and contributing to this shallow family. I'm turned off!!!

Stop supporting this family!

No. No no no. Weight loss and dietary change should be for yourself, not the for the approval of other people! This show is disrespectful to those that struggle to control weight without the aid of costly personal trainers and chefs. Garbage tv for garbage people.

Abuse from those who think they're helping
sherilcarey2 January 2019
Having been there for years and years living that existence of unhealthy and untrue beliefs about what is important, what is healthy until finally learning real Truth which is pretty much the opposite of what we are surrounded by as popular beliefs about diet, exercise, looks and health, and in the last several years finally beginning to build real health, my heart is breaking for the few people I've seen on this awful show being treated like garbage by Latreal Mitchell and others, spreaders of misinformation, disinformation, and truly garbage attitudes about human value and human health. I wish I could hug and help all those victims of the garbage mentality that is displayed throughout the episode I saw of this show. There are so many possible places to start once you accept the need for a radical departure from the popular myths that hurt us all. The Obesity Code, LowCarb/HighFat, WAPF or GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) are all excellent sources to read into. Some versions of paleo may be another possible great starting point for some people. Plus many alternative holistic health building helps are very worth looking into such as massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, essential oil just to name a few...if there were room and time here and now. But all I can say is there can be real building of health, real healing. You have to walk your own walk and find your own puzzle pieces to your personal stories. Dont give in to the abusers, to the devil. Walk away from those whose mentality us so poor, so unhealthy, so self-centered and so poorly directed that they will only help you to beat yourself up, because they believe it's all about having been a person who was not good enough and transforming into who they want to see you become, mistakenly believing that if you are ever to become good enough then all you have to do is suck it up and do hard work, work directed by them of course. They don't know even a tenth of the story of human health and fitness. And they dont value humans. They can't understand where your true value lies. They only value images, and even with images, only images that they see as gratifying. Dont give up on the idea that real help and real info can be found. It can be. It's out there.

Stylish and Inspiring

I really like this show. It's a stylish and fresh take on the "make over show." Khloe is always hilarious and her realness totally comes through. Despite all her glamour she's a very down to earth person and relates really well to the people on the show. I like her even more after watching RB than I did before. One thing that makes this show so interesting is seeing that the people who go through this transformation discover that their desire for revenge fades away as they progress. In the end they are improving their health and physical appearance not for anyone but themselves and the way it makes them feel. By the end the show their self-esteem has improved so much that "the haters" don't hold the sway they once did and the cast members are much happier for it. Taking action and making a change for the better is always a good thing. And the psychological change these people experience makes the show inspiring to watch. I'm hooked!!!

I absolutely love this program. Firstly I don't care about the Kardashians and Khloe's pouted lips and looks of concern are hillarious but this is so great to see people's stories and how they turn themselves around after you know has been a very long battle trying too. It's motivated me to do the same and the weight is now coming off, so thank you Khloe keep it up, your changing people's lives for the better.
