It's all in your head!

I have just binged watched the whole 2 series, ok there was the odd patch of filler and one or two of the episodes weren't as standout as the others but in the main the characters and portrayals of them were absolutely great. It was tense in so many places, and very humorous in a lot of the episodes.

It was quite apparent that there weren't enough episodes to watch, which was quite annoying, as it soon became a firm favourite of mine. Ok there were some annoying characters but by sticking with it and keeping going the payout was was going to be inevitable. Once again Hugh Laurie is brilliant and gave the role what it needed to pull it off successfully. Shame it's gone but it was well worth the watch.

Not Quite There!

This final episode of the second season is a bit lacking. The problem is that all the things that Chance had hoped for are wrapped up so quickly. Nicole's situation is taken care of but none of the necessary transitions are presented. Mostly, penance is at the heart of things and that penance is undeserved. I know there are some absolutes in moral teaching, but the bad guys are the worst of the worst. I wonder if a fourth season is even a possibility.

Season 2 Finale

Warning: Spoilers
Chance has been a roller coaster of a show, but I was a little bit let down by the Season 2 finale. They caught Frank too easily and then disposed of him too easily. The callback to the time needed to apply the rear naked choke to kill someone was not as powerful a moment as I think the show thought it would be.

I hope this isn't the end, but if it is Dr. Chance paying back his debt by helping the less fortunate in Mexico doesn't seem like the right way to wrap things up. He needs to end his saga on a dark note and that is why I hope we get a third season.
