When Martin attempts to procure a Beebo doll with a bow, music from Arrow can be heard in the background.
The fictional Beebo craze takes place in 1992, however, it is similar to the 1996 Tickle Me Elmo craze, and Cabbage Patch Kid in 1983.
Beebo bears a strong resemblance to the Furby, a minor craze of the late 1990s which has strikingly similar speech and animatronic functions.
This episode contains several references to the Back to the Future trilogy. Martin exclaims "Great Scott!" after being time-displaced, a reference to the phrase commonly spoken by the time traveler Doc Brown in these films. When Jax requests that Martin open a letter on a specific date, the latter claims to have seen Back to the Future, referencing the scene where Marty attempts to give Doc a letter warning him of his murder on the night he travels back in time, telling him not to open it until 1985. Strangely, in S2 episode 5 Compromised, older Stein claimed to not know who Doc Brown was. This may be another result of the aberration older Stein caused in the same episode which led to Lily's birth.
Ray Palmer and Nate note that the divergent aberrations have all had some connection to the Legends' own personal histories; his first role in an aberration was linked to Sir Henry Stein, Martin Stein's great-granduncle, another aberration involved Ray Palmer's younger self, and the latest aberration was linked to Mick Rory's father.
