Episode 1.1

SPOILER: Episode 1 has a grimy beginning with DI Renko (Agyness Deyn) attacked by a man who tries to kill her, he turns out to be her son. She returns to work eight months later and teamed up with a new partner Charlie Hicks (Jim Sturgess.)

A body falls from a building and lands on a tree. An activist went looking for man with a flash drive, he runs off with the flash drive. The security service are on the hunt. When Renko and Hicks get the drive, their lives are at risk.

The flash drive contains information of impending doom, well in five years time. The security service's mission is to stop a mass panic from occurring.

A brooding busy opener with a government conspiracy, nasty security service types, hacktivists, some violent gore and an intention to be the next Edge of Darkness.

Writer Neil Cross, creator of 'Luther' found success when he turned up the dial and went for barminess. I suspect he will do the same here.

WHAT a LOAD of RUBBISH !

A whole lot of running around, a lot of garbled dialogue, a confusing plot that ultimately is explained but by then I'd loss the will to live. The problem was that it was only just a passable drama and I'm no quitter unless it's complete tosh. In retrospect, I should have quit after ten minutes and poked myself in the eye with a chop bone for a better evenings entertainment!

Poor me, I'm now embittered but you don't have to go through the same torment.......don't mention it!

If the producers are brave or stupid enough to make series two.....I don't care, won't be watching!
