I was just thinking to myself that it seemed like "The Amazing World Of Gumball" had made fun of just about every genre and trope out there, but they hadn't done much with video games. Well, they didn't do an entire episode making fun of the genre. Guess what happens here? We get the same hilarious deconstructive nature this show has become so perfect with. This episode focuses on RPG tropes and mocks just about every single one of them in existence. This one features Gumball using a game console that seemingly sucks all of the other characters into a game world.
The weird thing is that I don't think I've ever played a single standard RPG on an actual console before. I have of course played and reviewed countless numbers of them on the Internet. The animation is just so beautiful here as always. Call me immature, but I really did laugh at how Gumball named himself MyButt. He even mentions how it's a joke that never really gets old. It's great to see all of the supporting characters come together at the climax and defeat the actual console. If you're a fan of video games, RPGs or anything else, this is as hilarious as ever! ****
