- Black Siren: You got us in here so easily, I didn't have a chance to kill anybody.
- Cayden James: Well, homicide is not our objective here, Ms. Lance. Two guards inside.
- Black Siren: What's the holdup?
- Cayden James: Your generation is so impatient. Why can't you just savor the anticipation? Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war, Ms. Lance.
- [he hacks open the doors; Laurel and a henchman kill the two guards inside]
- Cayden James: That was a literary epigram, Ms. Lance, not a directive.
- Black Siren: Potato, po-tah-to.
- Cayden James: Wait.
- Black Siren: Why? And don't say "savor the anticipation".
- Cayden James: Nano-thermite is highly explosive. Your scream will detonate...
- [Black Siren uses her sonic scream to break open the case]
- Cayden James: You do see how that could have gone wrong, yes?
- Black Siren: Yes, but it didn't.
- Dinah Drake: Tell me what you need.
- Oliver Queen: I need some sleep.
- Dinah Drake: I think I can do one better. FBI transfers can get lost. Locks can be left open.
- Oliver Queen: I appreciate that, but if I make myself a fugitive, then obviously I'm making William an orphan.
- Dinah Drake: Gotta do it the right way.
- Oliver Queen: Yeah. I gotta do it the right way.
- Dinah Drake: Okay. Good night.
- John Diggle: What you got?
- Curtis Holt: There was a break-in last night at Sunderland Corp.
- John Diggle: Why didn't we get an alert? Felicity has us wired...
- Curtis Holt: Up the wazoo. I know. I'm trying to figure it out. I mean, we're basically the Big Brother of Star City. Not in a creepy way.
- [switching computers]
- Curtis Holt: Oh, okay, this makes more sense now.
- John Diggle: Laurel.
- Curtis Holt: Yeah, who works with Cayden James, who can hack any security system to bypass any alerts, such as ours.
- John Diggle: What did they steal?
- Curtis Holt: Nano-thermite. It's a metastable, intermolecular composite.
- [seeing John doesn't understand]
- Curtis Holt: A reactive particle. You know, like a mint inside of a soda. Alone, harmless, but together, kaboom, as in "kill lots of people", not "spill grape juice all over your Cub Scout"...
- John Diggle: What are they targeting, Curtis?
- Curtis Holt: I don't know. Nano-thermite needs to be combined in order to be combustible, but once it is, there are many, many, many possibilities.
- John Diggle: Can you narrow it down?
- Curtis Holt: No, but Felicity might be able to.
- Cayden James: I know what you're thinking. Where's the horrifically huge bomb? This is going to be an incredibly insightful evening.
- Green Arrow: Where is it?
- Cayden James: Your generation is so impatient. Why can't you just savor the anticipation? There is no bomb, so relax.
- Green Arrow: And all of this?
- Cayden James: To get your attention. To talk, that's all. It's not like I have your number.
- Green Arrow: You're insane.
- Cayden James: Thomas Szasz, the renowned psychiatrist and and psychoanalyst, says that there's no such thing as insanity. Revenge, on the other hand... is very real.
- Green Arrow: Revenge. I've never even met you.
- Cayden James: And yet you cost me something dear to me... someone very dear... My son. That's why I have arranged this little tête-à-tête... so that when your city burns, you'll know why.
- Felicity Smoak: Hey. Talk fast. Oliver's arraignment is in two minutes.
- Curtis Holt: Laurel and Cayden James got their hands on a mess of nano-thermite last night.
- Felicity Smoak: That means they'll be in the market for an accelerant.
- Curtis Holt: Yeah. What kind of accelerant? That's a really long list.
- Felicity Smoak: The nano-thermite heist, did it involve a computer hack?
- Curtis Holt: It involved Cayden James, so what do you think?
- Felicity Smoak: I think that you can backtrace his hack, maybe you can get into his system.
- Curtis Holt: Can you come back and do this? Because you're, like, way better at this than I am.
- Judge McGarvey: I'm going to release the defendant on bail.
- Sam Armand: Your Honor, the defendant faces seven counts of murder.
- Judge McGarvey: And he's the mayor and sole parent of a minor. Something tells me he's not going anywhere. Particularly not with a $5 million bail and $500,00 bond.
- Oliver Queen: Please tell William not to worry.
- Felicity Smoak: You tell him yourself when you get home.
- Oliver Queen: I'm sorry, do you have half a million dollars lying around?
- Felicity Smoak: Actually, I do.
- Oliver Queen: What?
- Felicity Smoak: The first round of the angel investments for Curtis' and my startup came through.
- Oliver Queen: No. I can't let you do that.
- Felicity Smoak: I can't let you not let me.
- Quentin Lance: I'm assuming all of those squirrely looks mean that the girl in question is... is what, Laurel's evil twin?
- Oliver Queen: She's working with Cayden James, a criminal we've been tracking for some time. I have been wrestling over whether or not to tell you.
- Quentin Lance: Well, I'm glad you didn't, 'cause I don't want anything more to do with her.
- Oliver Queen: Well, Quentin, now that you know?
- Quentin Lance: I will distract myself clearing your good name.
- Felicity Smoak: We have a problem. We have a massively huge problem. And considering it's in the same week Oliver has been arrested.
- John Diggle: What is it?
- Felicity Smoak: The nano-thermite, when combined with the explosive, creates a thermobaric weapon.
- John Diggle: What's a thermobaric weapon?
- Felicity Smoak: It disperses what is essentially a cloud of fire and then pressure-cooks everything within 200 yards.
- Curtis Holt: I'm guessing we're giving up hope that Cayden James has to cook a lot of turkeys for Thanksgiving.
- John Diggle: I told Felicity not to bother you with this.
- Oliver Queen: Which part? You being in the hospital? The experimental steroid? Or... the nerve damage that has affected you for months? Are you gonna be all right?
- John Diggle: I'll be fine. I didn't want you to worry, Oliver, which is why I didn't tell you.
- Oliver Queen: No. No, John, you didn't tell me because you knew I'd never let you go out there compromised, and that I'd certainly never let you compromise the team. I've been mad at you before, John. This... is the first time I've ever been disappointed.
- John Diggle: Oliver, you gave up the right to judge me when you gave up that hood.
- Oliver Queen: You don't get to claim the moral high ground here, my friend.
- John Diggle: Oh, I'm not, Oliver. But I apologized to people who I endangered - the team, Oliver. The team. My obligation begins and ends with them. I don't owe you a damn thing.
- Oliver Queen: For the sake of our friendship, I hope that's withdrawal talking.
- John Diggle: I put on this hood because you asked me to.
- Oliver Queen: Don't blame me for this.
- John Diggle: I'm not blaming you, Oliver. I blame myself for putting your needs, your goals, even your family, above my own. I've done that from the very beginning. That was my biggest mistake.
- Oliver Queen: That was your biggest mistake? Mine was trusting you to be the Green Arrow.
- Oliver Queen: [sitting with a comatose Thea] Hey, Speedy. I miss you. I miss chatting. They say that, um... people in comas can hear other people talking to them. If you can hear me, just wake up, all right? Please. 'Cause I need you now.
- Felicity Smoak: Should we order our traditional Thanksgiving meal?
- Curtis Holt: I can call Big Belly Burger.
- Rene Ramirez: I'm gonna crush my French fries and pretend they're mashed potatoes.
- Felicity Smoak: Maximum damage for a thermobaric bomb is Starling Stadium.
- Rene Ramirez: [realizing something] Today's Thanksgiving.
- Curtis Holt: Yeah, we just covered that when we talked about ordering turkey burgers.
- Rene Ramirez: Wow. I'm saying, Billy Joel's playing there tonight. Sold-out crowd.
- [seeing their looks of surprise]
- Rene Ramirez: I happen to like a wide variety of music, and "The Stranger" is a treasured piece of rock and roll history.
- Dinah Drake: You all right?
- Quentin Lance: Yeah, yeah. Why you asking?
- Dinah Drake: 'Cause you don't look it.
- Quentin Lance: Whoa!
- Dinah Drake: Well, I get it. No one wants to believe someone that they care about is capable of unspeakable things. I've been there.
- Quentin Lance: Oh, yeah? Has your daughter's otherwordly doppelganger been on a murder spree lately, Dinah?
- Dinah Drake: Not exactly, no. But I did find out my ex-boyfriend is Vigilante.
- Quentin Lance: What, the guy in the ski goggles?
- Dinah Drake: I never thought in a million years that he had it in him. And ever since I found out, I've been trying to reconcile the man that I loved with the monster he is now.
- Quentin Lance: Last month when Laurel attacked the bunker, I had a chance to stop her.
- Dinah Drake: What?
- Quentin Lance: Yeah. I had a gun on her, but I couldn't pull the trigger. Not like I did on Lian Yu. Point being, you know those people that she's been killing you told me about? They're on me.
- Dinah Drake: That's not anywhere close to true.
- Quentin Lance: And why are you saying that?
- Dinah Drake: I'm hoping it, because I had a chance to stop Vince, and I let him go, too. We're good people, Quentin. We see the best in the people we care about, and I for one am not ready to believe that that's a bad thing.
- John Diggle: You remember last year when the Dominators put us into this alternate Star City?
- Oliver Queen: Yeah. Kind of difficult to forget.
- John Diggle: We got to see what our perfect life would be. Mine was being the Green Arrow. So you asking me to take the mantle was not selfish. It was giving me the one thing in the world that I never knew I wanted.
- Oliver Queen: Felicity thinks that Cayden James is going after Starling Stadium. There's gonna be 35,000 people there tonight.
- John Diggle: You're the mayor. Shut it down.
- Oliver Queen: I tried. Getting arrested is not doing a lot for my credibility.
- Samanda Watson: The time of vigilantes is coming to an end. Because how can you idolize someone hiding in the shadows who won't show his face? Who refuses to own up to his shortcomings and culpability? It's not a hero, it's a coward.
