High Spirits - An Interview With Screenwriter Brian Taggert (2017)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
Very entertaining featurette has screenwriter Brian Taggert sitting down to discuss the 1988 film POLTERGEIST III. He starts off talking about the original pitch that got him interested in the material and then we go into some details about the troubled production of the film. Taggert talks about why he thought the director was the right person for the job but everyone kept having to cut back when the budget started to be taken away. He also tells some nice stories about somethings that didn't go right. Also discussed was the tragic death of Heather O'Rourke and how that hung over the film. If you're a fan of POLTERGEIST III then you should enjoy this chat as Taggert has several good stories to share and there's no question that this interview is a lot more interesting than the final film.
