Had a nice time with the role swap

Warning: Spoilers
I must admit I liked Lucifer and Chloe switch roles: Lucifer taking things seriously and Chloe being distracted. The actors really delivered.

Nice to see the Maize-Amenadiel-Rachael conflict come to an end. The subplot was stretched out longer than it needed to be and Rachael and Amenadiel had no chemistry.

Also, I was disappointed that the murderer's motivations were rather forced.

Lucifer without the mytharc is a procedural cop show.
LynksD27 February 2018
Warning: Spoilers
High School Poppycock was a decent enough procedural cop show epsiode, but nothing else. Without the mytharc developing, this season so far is not the best from the show.

It was not illogically written. It was a filler episode. Again. After three weeks. The ending gives me hope of something great to come. But unti then, this is very bland.

+ Maize's character progression + The ending sets up potentially for something great

  • No mytharc progression
  • Bland story
  • Not funny, nor quirky.
  • Linda and Amanadiel relationship ends as quickly as it started, thus making it pointless.
  • A decent procedural copshow episode is just not enough quality for a show like Lucifer anymore.

Terrible CGI and worse writing
frtrain-0116625 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Opens with the worst CGI any low budget show could muster. Embarrassingly bad. The story about "writer's block" was not original, the episode follows the typical Lucifer format. Murder, Chloe says the word killer way too many times, the person they don't suspect at the beginning is the real killer, and worst of all, the solution is good detective work that should have been done at the start. In this case, it's traffic cam footage.... why was that not considered first? This episode proves that the detective/CSI angle gets in the way of the good parts of Lucifer's story.
