Warning: Spoilers
Another Scooby Doo episode, but this time we were treated to a fun duet between Lucifer and Axara, the episode's only saving grace!

I had fun

Yes, the culprit is predictable and his or her motive is forced and silly. Still, I had fun. I thought all the characters were on point and there were some funny lines. Lopez again steals any scene she's in.

It's impossible to be negative about this episode!

I'm not a positive guy as usual. I just think that some things are usually overrated, some are underrated. For instance, this episode of the tv-series was really underrated compared to other series. This episode had a meaning. People who can't agree, please, watch this episode carefully, I believe you'll like it. Everyone has different opinions, but mine is positive. Maze's incomprehensible attitude towards Linda aside, This episode is worth 10/10. But still, I'm gonna put 9)

Have Faith In Life

Warning: Spoilers
This episode built up to be good. Honestly at first I wasn't feeling the whole performance murder thing.

I love, love the fashion in this episode particularly Charlotte's light blue jacket matching her eyes. Chloe's grey asymmetrical jacket is cute too.

A singer switched places with one of her backups and the backup ends up being killed with a firework.

Cain sees life so negatively. He compares it to a dog on the side of the road waiting for the next set of problems to come. It's a dark void he says.

Lucifer keeps the singer safe in his penthouse as arranged by LAPD but the singer chooses to go down to Lux to sing I Will Survive. Lucifer joins in. One of the backup dancers pulls out a knife and we find out she was the killer. She wants the singer to stop performing and going on tour constantly. She wants attention back on herself and their friendship since high school. Lucifer lunges at the killer to protect Chloe and gets unknowingly stabbed. The scene is beautiful with Chloe realizing he cared about her. Amenadiel and Cain talk. Cain is advised to have faith in life, Luci who vowed to stop focusing on the detective ends up stepping in to save her. Note to self: Have faith, always that everything will work out in life. Just trust.

After, Cain comes up to Chloe and invites himself to go to the concert with her with the two VIP tickets she got. Lucifer comes up after and asks when to pick her up. Chloe says she thought he wouldn't want to go because he has been distancing himself lately. We see a beautiful scene of Lucifer watching Chloe from afar at her desk and then leaving with Marcus.

Luci goes to Linda with a sad look and says he thinks he made a big mistake.

Disappointed

I'm not sure what is happening with the writing of Lucifer but this has to be one of the worst episodes yet. So much so that I went back to season 1 and watched 'a priest walks into a bar' to remind myself what I like about this series.

The Writers Got the Week Off

But at least the choreographer got some work done. It's so predictable that when the featured subject is a singer, half of the show is filled with generic song and dance, the plot and sub-plots are the lamest in the series history, and my thumb was on fast forward a lot. No surprises here.

What is going on

This episode was a mess with no point. Lucifer has become a whiny child.

Mediocre on a few levels
rander-8812328 June 2020
I don't blame the show for losing focus. It's been a pin-pong ball as far as production has gone. This ep. was an example. The character list grew too large to afford enough screen-time for the main characters. The ep. concerns some non-descript pop singer who is in danger of a deranged fan. It's been done to DEATH by other cop shows. Cheeseball, simple-minded "lessons" in moralist preaching and character dilution and getting Ellis to sing, enough!
