Any respectable Scandi drama that's worth its salt gets a visit to Scandinavia, and of course Shetland follows suit. This episode has really changed the direction and pace of the drama. I enjoyed the second part, it was interesting, had intrigue, and the focus on the guilt or innocence of Thomas Malone made for very good viewing. However, the revelations in Norway, and the discovery of Matty have taken the series up a notch. You got the sense that Tosh was placed in serious danger, and for a second time alongside Perez. It ended with a great cliffhanger. I am still at a loss to explain how Kate Kilmuir is so captivated by Thomas, it seemingly makes no sense.
Very impressive episode. 9/10
