Boy this movie made me angry....
nigepitz25 June 2020
Angry - but not because of the solid, informative , heartfelt documentary but about the greed of big charities and pharmaceutical companies. Please never donate to the MS society they are crooks only interested in the giant salaries and sucking up to Big Pharm, not the people they were set up to help.

I have no one to talk to about this....SAD
jposhea8888-197827 July 2019
After stifling sniffles and periodic eye drying, anger sets in. These scarce cinematic masterpieces uniquely appear before us. They appear almost preordained by some unquantifiable force, but they'll find us...the lucky ones with antenna still raised.

Disclosure, I have not a single root in MS or any other autoimmune syndrome yet "Living Proof" gratefully sought me. I'll leave you with this: If you want to measure the character of someone this Documentary is all you need. Ask them to watch, if they're devoid of feeling or attachment then they most likely dwell in the dark recesses of the mind, lacking empathy, and you might want to reconsider your relationship(s) with them. Yeah, that's how much this flic efffin' moved me. Enjoy.

everyone should watch this doc- very well done and profoundly real
sarahhayne4 August 2019
This is a brave, compassionate and real look at the dysfunctional relationship between disease and our modern health care culture. A must see for anyone who ever plans to see a doctor and take a prescription let alone have chronic symptoms of any kind. You are being fooled by big industry and sadly our apathetic if not complicit FDA. A life changer if you don't already know whats happening in healthcare. Very well done!

Inspiring.
nikhitajk13 August 2019
Brutally thought provoking, raw, truthful eye opener to the reality of our world's most powerful yet greedy, mass producing, monopolizing producers of low quality, expensive yet worthless "solutions" that not only does nothing to fix the root problem but actually ends up creating more disease or side effects instead. They are so blinded by money that even when the answers are out there- free, natural, healthy, safe, profound LONG TERM life improving methods without any toxic expensive drugs, they are willing to close their eyes, tear down anyone who says otherwise to the way of their scheme and let innocent people & the people who love them suffer horribly, families broken down by dreadful disease. I wish the truth was out there on display to the whole world, their shame will be revealed and the people they took advantage of shall be avenged for. Everything shall come to light. Only with comparison to the dark can one understand the importance of light. We can only hope to never give up our search for the inspiring good and truth. To compare and question not only our current systems and concepts but even ourselves in the mirror, not just mindlessly settle for swallowing the bull and following the herd like silly sheep. Einstein once said, imagination is more important than knowledge. We live in a time where there's an abundance of knowledge. What big pharma and it's puppet masters forget is that you really cant take your money to heaven. They will only wish they knew earlier that all their money will never equate true happiness or success in life. Congrats to Mr Embry for his inspiring growth and for helping others discover potential where any normal human being would have just thrown in the towel, in the face of such a harrowing prognosis. As I once heard in another inspiring movie called Wonder: "He is the greatest," he finally continued, "whose strength carries up the most hearts by the attraction of his own."

It's so well done!
carolm-1820317 May 2019
I watch documentaries all the time, this is one of my top favorites if not the favorite. I don't have ms nor do I have anyone close to me that does, yet I'm drawn into the struggle of the people in this documentary. It's fascinating!

What an inspiration
louisadawes14 October 2020
I can only vouch for myself, my brother has MS, he's getting worse and worse, you cannot talk to him or the rest of my family about diet they laugh in your face, unfortunately auto immune diseases run in my family, I myself have rheumatoid arthritis, since following this diet I've gone from needing my son to help me out of bed in the morning being crunched up in pain to pretty normal, my inflammation is going down every day. For those of you with either autoimmune diseases or specifically MS, please don't dismiss this as guff, please try it, what do you have to lose, it's just eating differently, try it and see.

Having RA I can't have nightshades vegetables, this is quite typical for arthritis sufferers though.

Good luck everyone and thank you to the makers of this movie

Good documentary
martinpgibson24 December 2021
This was a great documentary, but in my opinion the major fault of the documentary was to not get the other sides perspective i.e. That of the MS Canada. Because this voice was not heard it made the probably very great treatment approach proposed by Mathew lack the credibility it deserved. It was shown in the film Mathew trying to reach out to them but the invitation was not sincere enough in that it was inviting them to his home turf, and this desire for criticism lacked the doggedness of someone like Michael Moore who would like camp out of peoples buildings to get a comment. Even if MS Canada truly didn't want to comment, then contact one of the drug companies or find a researcher who disagrees with the approach. But apart from that though, really great!

WAKEUP CALL
mrocco-120 August 2020
Watch this movie, it will educate you!!! It reiterates the evil of big pharma and some BIG charities, and highlights the greatness of the right diet and supplements. I believe in drugs that WORK, and I do take one for my autoimmune disorder, but in conjunction with a change in diet. This movie reminds the viewer that not everything can be eradicated with just a pill. Having gone Paleo/Gluten free and taking all the right supplements for my Hashimoto's, I can attest to the impact of proper diet. Now Hashi's is like kindergarten compared to MS, but both are autoimmune disorders and I believe anyone diagnosed with any autoimmune disorder needs to man (or woman) up and take control of what they eat! It will also hit you in the gut watching people struggling with this horrible disorder. I can tell you the when I get up tomorrow I will remember this movie and remind myself to be more joyful for my good health, it really is the most important thing.

Another platform looking for $$ and take advantage of a desperate MS community
CE2JD210 January 2023
Matt Embry is on an MS drug Ocrevus, has been for years...where is this on the website ?? Are the strategies and videos going to be updated??

CCSVI has been debunked, it doesn't work, has been for YEARS...

Diet is unproven to make any difference, all anecdotal evidence to date...Whals is a $$ platform as well...still unproven after decades, but she is making a ton of money...

Unreal that this has made it so far, goes to show how little the world knows about MS, to the point that multiple websites have popped up again claiming a cure...or hinting at one.

Let the truth out Matt, this is simply a regurgitation of free information on the internet.

Unreal that you (and Whals) are taking advantage of the MS community. And yes...I have MS.

fmmyqcp21 March 2021
This was just an incredible Canadian documentary about Matt's journey with MS . I was moved to the core with the raw emotions of all the people who shared snippets of their struggles and incredible challenges I have just spent the better part of my morning sharing this with everyone I know and asked them to share , The facts are chilling regarding the MS society and the big drug companies ..,,,, I look forward to part 2 where Matt's life story has made a huge impact on other people's lives despite all the barriers and corruption and mountains he has to face In the end Truth always prevails Thanks 🙏 so much for this Film it was truly incredible

Important expose of Big Pharma's control of treatment therapies for Multiple Sclerosis.
dagnew9921 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Somber real-life story of a young Canadian man diagnosed with MS who 'does his homework' and learns that conventional treatment for the disease is of little benefit. He learns that diet can lessen the symptoms, and also learns that the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada gets a large portion of its income from the drug companies. MSSC threatens him and refuses to acknowledge that the drugs don't work or that diet may be important.

This is true 100%
A diet seems like a too easy answer to severe symptoms with autoimmune diseases but I can attest that this works!

I am so happy to find this documentary and see that it's reaching people out in the world that need this information. Don't hesitate to do it! It will change your life! I cannot stress this enough.

MS - there is a hope out there!
samabc-3195213 March 2021
An emotional rollercoaster, a poignant true story that and thought provoking .. the story brings some untold facts on the table.. A millions of dollars from donations is funding the research of MS (Multiple Sclerosis) annually... however, the politics, the lobbyists, the struggle of power and rivalry strangle the alternate effective natural potential treatments at times instead of integrating them as a part of the treatment plan .. drugs that are proven to be not so effective and with tons of side effects are still the standard protocol for the treatment... why??? Whereas vitamin D, healthy lifestyle, avoiding certain foods and healthy diet could put the symptoms at bay.. As shocking these numbers may seem (for Canadian MS Sociery) , it is not unbelievable! More than 30% of the fund comes from the pharmaceutical industry to this society and that explains a monopoly of certain drugs.. as per the research by MSHope organization, only 16% of revenues are being spent on research!!! A must watch documentary ...

Miracles are made every day

Shame on the Oxford nuerologist/researcher. 20 years of researching and writing white papers and he hasn't come close to uncovering the cause. Where there's a will, God will show the way. You have a whole lab and funding! Please abdicate instead of occupying space. If the process or institution is interfering with your agenda, you have the know how's or a way to get around it, do something, be a hero. Shame! Shame on these doctors, researches, institutions. Pharma can't do anything if people take ownership of their health, form their own secret dealings. We're lucky now we're seeing so much brought to light. They won't be able to push their agendas much longer.

Doing what's best
kosmasp14 January 2023
No pun intended - under the circumstances, that is what I would call it. There are many stories - there are many tragedies. And there are many things humans have to fight against. Depending on the person that is affected by it - depending on how many people have a similar fate ... well there is an interest to know more about it.

This is about MS - something I do not know that much about to be honest. Or knew about, because the documentary is englighting - as well as inspiring! This is not about telling you or giving away too much. The documentary does start on a low point ... and there are quite a few along the way. I do not know how I would have reacted - if I had gotten news like that. I know someone who has it - but even they never really told told people about it. They lived with it. The husband taking care of his wife - not something that is a given unfortunately. But something that true love seems to be able to overpower.

I told them about this documentary - and if you know someone affected ... you'll probably will tell them about this too. But even if you are completely detached from the subject ... do not know anyone who has it ... and good for you and your loved ones if that is the case - you will find a powerful documentary here. One that surely made a dent in a lot of peoples lifes ... and it makes sense ...
