Warning: Spoilers
***SPOILERS*** There are several issues that make it necessary for you to not go beyond this point if you don't want to know what's happened. I'm not a big fan of this show. I think it's a quick sell; cashing in on everyone's patriotism. Most people, though (I believe) wish to hell that we'd never heard of Afganistan, or Iraq. Here we are, though, and it's pretty hard to ignore the fact that are special operators in both countries 18 years after 9-1-1. We have the story of what is going on in and with one of the SEAL teams (6), and their private lives, which they seem to bounce in and out of on a daily basis. They are after a specific target, and a traitor, who gets away in the end; we think? Yeah, it's left hangin'.

It's also hard not to reference Zero Dark Thirty's influence, with a supposedly tough C.I.A. operative in the mix who has a personal mission at stake. **SPOILERS** She gets killed in the end, because she didn't see the hand grenade that her target had in his hand - AFTER they had a nasty conversation, right? No, that's not why. WHY is because the team leader, who is supposed to be in charge of the entire team, and anyone with them, lets her check the bad guy out (to make sure he's dead). I think that a REAL team leader would have made her get on the chopper, rather than have her chance to screw things up, which she definitely did. He's gonna be in trouble, for sure. Well, she got to play tough guy big shot for a while; she just forgot the rules about who's in charge, and how to check for booby traps, IEDs and suicide bombers. She could have shot him from a distance, but her arrogance got the better of her.

The rest of the ending to this program is quite a bit harder to take. Lollypops, rainbows, and unicorns are left at the kiddie table, and "live by the sword" is the order of the day. The action was always very good, although I did wonder why several of the guys had night vision gear attached to their helmets when it was clearly daytime. In this episode, they were in a mineshaft, fighting it out with some soon-to-be-dead terrorist rats, and they never used the tech equipage. Still, the show did give some humanity to these fine warriors, and their patriotism. This one's n 8.

Can I say I Hate the Ending?

Warning: Spoilers
Okay. I HATE the ending. Despite its MANY faults (which I won't go in to here) I would like for the show to continue another season (or more, maybe MANY more). Also, I hate the way the series ended. No spoilers given here. I just would have liked to see you-know-who killed (the traitor scum) and I didn't like that a couple of the "good" characters WERE killed. But all-in-all: congratulations and adios to a good series.
